Patel Celebrates 200 Days Of FBI Arrests, Drug Seizures, And Child Rescues
FBI Director Kash Patel is touting a sweeping law-and-order record just 200 days into President Donald J. Trump’s second term, highlighting historic arrests, record drug seizures, and aggressive crackdowns on human trafficking.
“200 Days of Trump Admin, From Jan 20 to Present: FBI has arrested over 1,600 people for violent crimes against children, to include 270 arrests for human trafficking,” Patel wrote Saturday on X.
Patel said agents seized 1,500 kilos of fentanyl in that period — “enough lethal doses to kill 113,850,000 Americans” — the largest amount ever, and 25% higher than the same period last year.

According to Patel, the bureau has also identified and located 4,000 child victims, arrested 1,000 individuals linked to Foreign Terrorist Organizations, and confiscated 6,300 kilos of methamphetamine. He tagged the update with “#SummerHeat,” signaling more enforcement actions ahead.
The White House promoted the milestone as part of its “200 Days of American Renewal” campaign, touting Trump’s achievements from “historic border security to infrastructure revitalization.”
Deputy FBI Director Dan Bongino — who reportedly considered resigning earlier this year over the handling of the Epstein files — reposted Patel’s update, writing, “This isn’t even the beginning of the beginning. More coming.”
Frustrations remain among Trump supporters over the Justice Department’s continued denial of an “Epstein client list.” President Trump recently defended Attorney General Pam Bondi’s handling of the issue, saying, “She’s really done a very good job.”
Patel’s post came the same week the FBI agreed to assist Texas officials in locating and detaining more than 50 state House Democrats who fled to Chicago to block a redistricting vote.
U.S. Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas) confirmed Tuesday that Patel approved his request to aid state and local law enforcement.
“I thank President Trump and Director Patel for supporting and swiftly acting on my call for the federal government to hold these supposed lawmakers accountable for fleeing Texas,” Cornyn said. “We cannot allow these rogue legislators to avoid their constitutional responsibilities.”
At a White House press conference Wednesday, President Trump backed the idea.
“Well, they may have to,” Trump said when asked about FBI involvement. “I know they want them back. The Governor of Texas is demanding they come back. You can’t just sit it out. You have to go back. You have to fight it. That’s what elections are about.”

View PlansNot all Texas Republicans agreed. Attorney General Ken Paxton, who is challenging Cornyn in next year’s primary, said the matter was “purely a state issue” and questioned the FBI’s role.
Cornyn countered that federal agents have the tools to aid states when suspects cross state lines to evade legal duties or potential prosecution. He warned that lawmakers who solicited or accepted funds to facilitate their flight could face bribery or public corruption charges.
