Pharmaceutical Malpractice? Mikhaila Peterson Reveals Father’s Battle with "Psych-Med Induced" Neurological Injury
The Peterson family is once again sounding the alarm on the hidden dangers of the pharmaceutical industry. Mikhaila Peterson, daughter of the renowned clinical psychologist and courageous defender of Western values, Dr. Jordan Peterson, delivered a sobering update this Saturday regarding her father’s health. According to Mikhaila, the elder Peterson is currently battling a "psych-med-induced neurological injury," a condition she claims is being systematically downplayed by medical elites.
Dr. Peterson, who was diagnosed with Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome (CIRS) in August 2025, is also suffering from akathisia. This debilitating movement disorder causes extreme restlessness and an inability to remain still—a cruel irony for a man who has spent his career championing the disciplined, "stand up straight" pursuit of truth.
In a comprehensive 35-minute video posted to X, Mikhaila detailed the family’s discovery.
“We figured out that dad has a psych med induced neurological injury, and has been suffering from akathisia. It’s been 6 years since any psych medications,” Mikhaila wrote.
The timeline suggests a long-term fallout from previous medical interventions, exacerbated by environmental factors.
“Last summer his symptoms started, after a flare up likely induced by mold (CIRS) and stress. It was complicated by pneumonia and associated sepsis a month later. It’s been horrible. Neurological injuries from psych meds are far more common than people know.”
A Fight Against "Big Pharma" Secrecy
The update serves as more than just a health report; it is a call to action against a medical establishment that often prioritizes prescriptions over long-term patient well-being. Mikhaila’s post included a direct link to her testimony:

“I made this video to explain what they are and what akathisia is because they’re not talked about enough, they’re misdiagnosed, nearly impossible to treat, and hidden by the pharmaceutical industry,” Mikhaila continued.
She indicated that this would be the final update for the foreseeable future to protect the family’s privacy during this trying time.
“I don’t plan on making another update about my dad, it stresses my family out, and myself, and there’s nothing more to say about it until things get better. I will be jumping up and down about psych med injury awareness from now on as it’s impacted my health as well, and is devastating. Prayers are appreciated still.”
Despite the severity of her father's condition, Mikhaila urged caution for others currently on similar medications, advising against abrupt changes without proper medical guidance.
“Warning for people on psych meds listening – if you’ve been taking a psych med, particularly a benzodiazepine long term and are stable, don’t feel pressured to taper,” Mikhaila added in a follow-up post on X. “Do your research but don’t get concerned from this video and destabilize a stable situation without knowing the risks.”
A Legacy of Resisting Tyranny
Dr. Peterson’s health battle comes after years of relentless persecution by the radical left and Canadian regulatory bodies. Since 2017, when he stood against compelled speech and lost research funding for refusing to use non-binary pronouns, Peterson has been a primary target of the "woke" administrative state.
In 2023, Peterson faced a draconian mandate from the College of Psychologists of Ontario, which ordered him to undergo "sensitivity training" for his appearance on the Joe Rogan podcast and his public stances on gender ideology. While Peterson initially resisted the state-mandated re-education, he eventually vowed to expose the process to the world.
Speaking to Jesse Watters on Fox News in August 2023, Peterson remained defiant:
“I’m going to do everything I can to make all of this as public as I possibly can. I mean, I have done that from the beginning. I released all the documents that included the charges, so to speak, that the College [has] levied against me. I want to make this 100 percent transparent that led to the public decide for themselves who exactly is acting, let’s say, in an unprofessional capacity.”
As the Peterson family navigates this medical crisis during the second year of the Trump administration's second term—a time when national sovereignty and individual liberty are being restored in the U.S.—the global conservative community continues to offer prayers for a man who has sacrificed much to defend the foundations of the West.
