Photo Of Donald Trump, Jill Biden In Paris Instantly Goes Viral
President-elect Donald Trump and First Lady Jill Biden, wife of President Joe Biden, drew attention together during a recent international event.
The two were among the global leaders and dignitaries attending the reopening ceremony of France’s Notre Dame Cathedral on Saturday, marking five years since the devastating fire. A photo of the interaction quickly went viral, sparking a wave of reactions on X.
“Trump chats up Jill Biden at Notre Dame Cathedral reopening,” Conservative Brief Editor-in-Chief Martin Walsh posted on X.
“Jill Biden definitely voted for Trump,” joked comedian Tim Young.
Nick Sortor chimed in, saying, “Jill and Ashley Biden look like they’re absolutely in love with President Trump.”
Another user remarked, “Find someone who looks at you the way Jill and Ashley Biden look at Donald Trump.”
President Joe Biden opted not to attend the event, while the president-elect accepted an invitation from French President Emmanuel Macron, according to Fox News.
In November, former First Lady Melania Trump declined Jill Biden’s invitation to the traditional meeting between incoming and outgoing first ladies. Sources suggest the decision was due to a prior commitment related to Melania Trump’s book project.
Nonetheless, Jill Biden extended a gesture of goodwill. According to a White House official, she “gave Mr. Trump a handwritten letter of congratulations for Mrs. Trump, which also expressed her team’s readiness to assist with the transition.”
This occurred before President-elect Donald Trump and President Joe Biden met for their much-anticipated meeting at the White House on Wednesday morning.
“Looking forward to having a smooth transition. Can make sure you’re accommodated, give you what you need,” President Biden told Trump, warmly adding, “Welcome.”
In response, Trump expressed his gratitude, saying, “Thank you. Thank you very much. And politics is tough, and it’s, in many cases, not a very nice world, but it is a nice world today. I appreciate very much a transition that is so smooth. It’ll be as smooth as it can get, and I very much appreciate that, Joe.”
President Biden replied simply, “You’re welcome,” and added, “Well, Mr. President-elect and former President Donald, congratulations, and looking forward to having a smooth transition.”
Soon after, another viral photo of Trump with Joe and Jill Biden reignited online discussions.
Images circulating on social media depicted the current First Couple alongside the president-elect, with many noting how cheerful the Bidens appeared. Observers speculated whether they were content with the election results, given alleged tensions between Jill Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.
“Joe and Jill look very happy that Donald Trump will be the 47th President of the United States and not Kamala Harris,” wrote former Trump adviser Steve Cortes on X, sharing a photo of Trump with the Bidens.
The Biden family has had a particularly eventful month.
Following a pardon from President Joe Biden, Hunter Biden now faces allegations of owing over $300,000 in unpaid rent to former landlords. Shaun Maguire, a partner at Sequoia Capital, took to social media to voice frustration over the situation, claiming Hunter Biden accrued substantial debts during 2019-2020.
“So what happens to the $300k+ in back pay rent that Hunter Biden owes my family from 2019-2020? Is that pardoned now? Thanks, Joe,” Maguire posted on X.
On Sunday, President Biden issued a “full and unconditional pardon” for his son, covering any federal crimes committed or potentially committed between January 1, 2014, and December 1, 2024. The pardon comes as Hunter Biden faces federal charges related to tax violations and allegedly providing false information on a firearm background check form. This decision marks a notable shift from the president’s earlier insistence that he would not pardon his son.
