Rep. Anna Paulina Luna Moves to Freeze Assets of CCP-Linked Tech Billionaire Behind LA Riots

The radical Left may operate in chaos, but its funding is anything but disorganized.

On Wednesday, Florida Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna, a Republican member of the House Oversight Committee, took to X (formerly Twitter) to call out billionaire Neville Roy Singham—a man she accuses of financing the violent Los Angeles riots that targeted law enforcement and Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents last month. But Luna’s concerns go beyond domestic unrest: Singham is also tied to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

“Neville Singham— the billionaire communist with ties to the CCP, who funded the LA riots and used immigration & Mexicans as a Trojan horse for communism— is hiding from our letter requesting testimony. This poses an issue for delivering subpoena,” Luna posted.
“Therefore, if he decides to hide in CHINA, we will now be asking the State Dept. and Treasury to freeze his assets/visa. Singham is literally hiding.”

This is no hollow threat. Luna also reposted an Oversight Committee announcement that included two letters dated June 13—one to Singham himself, and another to Attorney General Pam Bondi.

The letter to Bondi requested an update on whether the Department of Justice is actively investigating far-left entities allegedly funded by Singham at the direction of Beijing. The Committee is especially concerned that these groups may be acting as foreign proxies for the CCP under the guise of domestic political activism.

In the letter to Singham, lawmakers demanded documents detailing his connections to organizations like the Party for Socialism and Liberation (PSL)—a group that helped organize the anti-ICE violence in Los Angeles.

“According to data scientist Jennica Pounds,” the letter states, “you are ‘the main backer behind’ the PSL, which has organized nationwide protests, including the Los Angeles riots.”

Pounds, known on X as “DataRepublican,” has previously advised President Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency, founded by Elon Musk, and remains a respected voice in data-driven national security circles.

Who Is Neville Roy Singham?

Though not listed on Forbes’ billionaire roster, Singham sold his tech firm Thoughtworks for $785 million in 2017. That staggering payout, however, may pale in comparison to the influence he appears to wield behind the curtain.

A 2024 report by the New York Post revealed that 9 of 14 staff members at the Kairos Center for Religions, Rights, and Social Justice—which has hosted pro-Hamas events—had links to Singham or his affiliated groups.

The New York Times previously exposed how Singham operates behind a maze of shell companies and nonprofits to advance Beijing’s agenda, stating he “works closely with the Chinese government media machine and is financing its propaganda worldwide.

These aren’t just troubling connections — they represent a full-fledged foreign influence campaign on American soil.

A Billionaire Communist?

Congresswoman Luna didn’t mince words: Singham is a “billionaire communist.”

He is, in many ways, the embodiment of leftist elite hypocrisy — a wealthy tech mogul who uses his fortune to stoke civil unrest and undermine the very nation that enabled his success. But this is nothing new.

As President Dwight D. Eisenhower once warned, America is vulnerable to manipulation by a “scientific-technological elite.” These elites don’t build; they scheme. They don’t create; they control. And with their detachment from faith and tradition, they’re often seduced by the godless promises of Marxist ideology.

Meanwhile, those who build real value — in faith, family, or industry — overwhelmingly lean toward liberty and conservative principles.

That’s the real divide.

Congresswoman Luna’s move to hold Neville Singham accountable is not just about one man. It’s about protecting American sovereignty from those who would sell it out — not for thirty pieces of silver, but for ideological revolution.
