Rosie O'Donnell Issues Humiliating Apology to MAGA After Getting Catholic School Shooting Completely Wrong

Hollywood actress and far-left activist Rosie O’Donnell is facing major backlash after she falsely claimed a recent school shooter was a conservative Trump supporter.

In a TikTok rant posted Thursday, O’Donnell declared the shooter, Robin Westman — a self-identified transgender individual — was part of the MAGA movement, despite the fact that Westman had scrawled “kill Donald Trump” on his weapon.

“What do you know? [The shooter] was a white guy, Republican, MAGA person, white supremacist,” O’Donnell insisted in the video.

She then lashed out at conservatives more broadly: “The NRA is a terrorist organization. And they have been for many years. When is enough, enough America? Haven’t you had enough of Donald Trump? The Heritage Foundation? All their bulls**t? He’s their puppet… but guess what? It’s coming to an end.”

The problem? None of it was true.

After days of criticism, O’Donnell offered what many are calling a reluctant and hollow apology.

“I know a lot of you were very upset about the video I made before I went away for a few days,” she said in a follow-up video. “I did not do my due diligence before I made that emotional statement. I said things about the shooter that were incorrect. I assumed, like most shooters, they followed a standard MO and had standard feelings of, you know, NRA-loving kind of gun people.”

“Anyway, the truth is, I messed up. And when you mess up, you fess up. I’m sorry,” O’Donnell added.

@rosie my apologies to maga for saying the school shooter was one of u - that is incorrect- i made a mistake - i didn’t research- im sorry- i assumed and thats always wrong - #uniteamerica #RonlyHOPE ♬ original sound - Rosie ODonnell

But the “apology” lacked sincerity. Her tone and body language suggested annoyance more than contrition — as though admitting fault was merely an obligation.

Meanwhile, details from Westman’s manifesto undercut O’Donnell’s original smear. The shooter wrote about being “tired of being trans,” admitted to being “brainwashed,” and carried explicit threats against President Donald Trump.

O’Donnell wasn’t the only public figure caught politicizing tragedy. Members of the corporate media, including CNN’s Jake Tapper, seemed more concerned about Westman being misgendered than about the victims.

The episode highlights a recurring pattern: left-wing celebrities and media figures rushing to blame conservatives — without evidence — whenever tragedy strikes.

O’Donnell has a long history of unhinged tirades against President Trump, even going so far as to blame him for her personal struggles with substance abuse and overeating. With this latest meltdown, she once again proved that Hollywood’s loudest voices are also its least credible.
