Secret Service Arrests Man At Trump Doral Golf Club

A security breach at one of Donald J. Trump’s Florida properties ended with a suspect in custody Saturday afternoon, after an altercation with Secret Service agents at a checkpoint underscored ongoing concerns about presidential security.

The incident unfolded around 4:15 p.m. at Trump’s golf resort in Doral, where federal agents and local law enforcement were conducting routine screening operations amid heightened security for a nearby PGA Tour event. According to officials, the individual refused to comply with instructions before escalating the situation physically.

Michael Townsend, Acting Special Agent in Charge of the Secret Service’s Miami field office, described the encounter in clear terms.

“During the encounter, the individual became disruptive and failed to comply with lawful orders,” Townsend said. “He then made physical contact with a member of the Secret Service and was taken into custody without further incident.”

Local authorities confirmed the suspect was booked by Doral police on charges of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest without violence. He was later transported to the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center in Miami.

President Trump had been at the property earlier in the day with family members before departing ahead of the PGA Tour’s Cadillac Championship, which drew large crowds and triggered increased security protocols across the resort.

Footage circulating online—shared by conservative commentator Nick Sortor—appears to show the suspect in handcuffs near a screening checkpoint. Reports indicate the individual may have triggered magnetometers during the screening process, though authorities have not yet confirmed details about the suspect’s identity or motive.

The confrontation comes amid an alarming pattern of security threats targeting the president. Just one week earlier, a separate attempt on Trump’s life was reported at the White House Correspondents Dinner, intensifying scrutiny over protective measures surrounding the commander-in-chief.

Meanwhile, Anna Paulina Luna is raising serious questions about a prior assassination attempt during the 2024 campaign, suggesting the possibility of systemic failures under the previous administration.

Speaking on the podcast “Pod Force One,” hosted by columnist Miranda Devine, Luna pointed directly to what she described as troubling lapses in oversight.

“I think what is interesting about the initial investigation is…it was done under Biden, period,” Luna said.

She also criticized federal agencies, including the FBI, for what she characterized as a lack of transparency and accountability in high-profile investigations.

“This is the same FBI… that couldn’t locate who actually owned that bag of cocaine that was found in the White House,” she said.

Luna’s concerns extended to the security planning of the July 2024 rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, where an assassination attempt left President Trump wounded.

“The area that was left open was literally the perfect location to take a shot,” Luna said.

She further cited whistleblower claims suggesting irregularities among security personnel that day.

“There was a group of snipers that were actually met that day… and they just so happened to not show up,” Luna said.

Authorities identified the Butler gunman as Thomas Crooks, who fired multiple rounds from a rooftop before being neutralized by Secret Service agents. President Trump was struck in the ear during the attack, while one rally attendee was killed and several others injured.

Luna also pointed to unresolved questions surrounding the suspect’s actions and potential connections.

“If this was just some random lone shooter, why did he have burner phones?” Luna said.

As investigations continue and security incidents mount, the latest arrest at Trump’s Florida resort serves as another stark reminder of the persistent threats facing the president—and the growing demand for accountability, transparency, and stronger protections at every level.
