'There Will Be Peace Or... Tragedy for Iran': Trump Addresses the Nation on US Bombing of Iran

In a dramatic late-night address from the White House on Saturday, President Donald J. Trump declared that the United States had successfully destroyed three of Iran’s most fortified nuclear facilities, warning Tehran that it now stands at a fork in the road: choose peace—or suffer devastating consequences.

The announcement came after President Trump took to Truth Social earlier that evening, revealing that American bombers had “completed our very successful attack on the three Nuclear sites in Iran, including Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan. All planes are now outside of Iran air space.”

“Congratulations to our great American Warriors. There is not another military in the World that could have done this,” the president wrote in a post that reverberated globally within minutes.

Fordow, one of the targeted facilities, has long been considered nearly untouchable due to its location deep underground and beneath a mountain. Analysts have speculated for days that only U.S. B-2 stealth bombers—armed with massive ordnance capable of penetrating hardened bunkers—could reach the site. The Air Force had reportedly repositioned these elite aircraft closer to Iranian territory in the days leading up to the assault.

President Trump, speaking at 10 p.m. ET, left no ambiguity about the mission’s purpose.

“Our objective was the destruction of Iran’s nuclear enrichment capacity and a stop to the nuclear threat posed by the world’s number one state sponsor of terror,” he declared.

He continued, “Tonight, I can report to the world that the strikes were a spectacular military success. Iran’s key nuclear enrichment facilities have been completely and totally obliterated.”

The president did not mince words when addressing Tehran’s future.

“Iran, the bully of the Middle East, must now make peace,” he said. “If they do not, future attacks will be far greater — and a lot easier.”

Drawing from history, Trump reminded viewers of the regime’s decades-long hostility toward America: “For 40 years, Iran has been saying ‘Death to America’ … They have been killing our people. I decided a long time ago that I would not let this happen. It will not continue.”

The commander-in-chief dismissed the possibility of dragging America into another endless entanglement in the Middle East. His message to Iran and the world was unflinching: this is not about diplomacy—it’s about deterrence.

“There will be either peace, or there will be tragedy for Iran far greater than what we have witnessed over the last eight days,” he warned.

As he closed his address, Trump turned his attention to the brave service members who carried out the high-risk mission.

“I want to congratulate the great American patriots who flew those magnificent machines tonight, and all of the United States military on an operation the likes of which the world has not seen in many, many decades,” he said. “Hopefully, we will no longer need their services in this capacity. I hope that’s so.”

While the world watches and waits, the message from the White House could not be clearer: under President Trump’s leadership, America is done with empty red lines. Action has returned to the world stage—and the stakes could not be higher.
