Tim Walz Called Out for Appearing to Wish for Trump's Death: 'Gross and Vile'
For a week, President Donald J. Trump kept a relatively low public profile. That silence — unremarkable by the standards of Joe Biden’s shadowy presidency — set off wild speculation online, with some left-wing agitators spreading baseless rumors that Trump had died.
When Biden repeatedly vanished from the spotlight during his own failed administration, conservatives never stooped to morbid jokes about his death. They criticized his policies, his incoherence, and his weakness — but they did not call for his demise.
Democrats, however, have normalized hatred so deeply that death wishes are now a punchline at their rallies.
During a Labor Day event in Minnesota, Democratic Gov. Tim Walz let slip exactly how far gone his party has become. Walz teased the crowd with a macabre suggestion that news of Trump’s death might soon arrive — and the audience laughed.
“I will say this,” Walz smirked in a clip posted to X. “The last few days, you woke up thinking there might be news.”
The crowd’s response made his meaning clear. Instead of clarifying, Walz doubled down: “Just saying. Just saying. There will be news sometime, just so you know. There will be news.”

The remark was swiftly condemned. “This is disgusting @GovTimWalz. I’ll remind you that @POTUS was nearly assassinated a few times. What kind of leader cheers for the death of political opponents? Gross and vile,” one X user responded.

Mark Hemingway of RealClearInvestigations noted the blatant double standard: “a 72 hour media-wide spasm” would have erupted had a Republican cracked such a joke about Biden. Others branded Walz “evil,” a “monster,” and a “disgusting freak.”
I hate playing the "if the GOP..." game, but Republican leaders were savaged to the extent that they questioned Biden's obvious infirmity.

If a GOP governor had basically wished he would die, it would have been a 72 hour media-wide spasm. https://t.co/VHIy07urPK
Walz is an evil twig, just like the rest of the Democrats that have TDS!

For years, Democrats have preached against “normalizing” Trump, all while normalizing their own appeals to violence. The party of “decency” and “unity” now openly cheers for the death of their chief political opponent — the sitting President of the United States.
This is not politics as usual. This is a movement that has traded civility for cruelty, patriotism for partisanship, and basic decency for bloodthirsty applause lines.
