Top Democrat Now Facing Decades In Prison On Horrifying Charges

Another day, another Democrat scandal. Los Angeles prosecutors have filed even more felony charges against Democratic City Councilman Curren Price, underscoring what conservatives have long warned: the Democratic Party thrives on corruption and self-enrichment at the expense of the people they’re supposed to represent.

On Friday, the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office announced two additional felony counts against Price, accusing him of embezzling taxpayer dollars and rigging contracts for personal gain. These latest charges stack on top of five embezzlement counts brought in 2023, to which Price pleaded not guilty.

Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman pulled no punches in his assessment:

“Embezzling public funds and awarding contracts for your own financial gain is the antithesis of public service. Our communities expect and deserve better from their public officials.”

He added:

“I thank our investigative team and prosecutors in the Public Integrity Division for diligently pursuing every lead and holding elected officials accountable. Self-dealing and pay-to-play politics will not be tolerated in Los Angeles County.”

The scope of Price’s alleged corruption is staggering. According to prosecutors, his wife, Del Richardson, collected over $800,000 from government agencies while Price simultaneously voted to send those same agencies tens of millions in public funds. From 2019 to 2021, Richardson’s company, Del Richardson & Associates, pocketed more than $150,000 from developers whose projects Price later supported on the council.

Price also allegedly stole nearly $34,000 in city money between 2013 and 2017 by fraudulently claiming medical benefits for Richardson—at a time when he was still legally married to another woman.

The Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles paid Richardson’s firm almost $610,000 while Price backed a $35 million federal grant and a $252 million state grant for the agency. His staff reportedly flagged the glaring conflict of interest, but Price ignored the warnings. Similarly, LA Metro paid Richardson’s company around $220,000 while Price pushed for a $30 million payout to the transit agency. Once again, staff raised red flags, and once again Price plowed ahead.

Perhaps most brazenly, Price is accused of funneling more than $2 million in COVID-19 relief money to a nonprofit called Home at Last, which just so happened to be a tenant in one of his development projects.

This scandal is not an isolated case—it’s emblematic of Democratic governance in Los Angeles and beyond. For years, Democrats like Price have presided over a city drowning in crime, homelessness, and corruption, while lining their own pockets and cutting backroom deals.

And Price is far from the only Democrat staring down serious legal peril. Grand juries in Virginia and Maryland are weighing potential indictments against two of President Trump’s loudest critics—New York Attorney General Letitia James and California Senator Adam Schiff—over allegations they falsified property records to secure cushy mortgage deals. Attorney General Pam Bondi has already tapped Ed Martin as Special Attorney to prosecute the cases, a move that underscores just how serious the charges are.

Martin made clear that these prosecutions have the full backing of President Donald J. Trump:

“Attorney General Bondi and President Trump have given me a very serious mission. I am committed to going where the facts take me. For months DOJ and the FBI have been working on these two cases, it is my job to stick the landing.”

Mortgage fraud, bank fraud, and wire fraud each carry potential prison sentences of up to 30 years. Yet don’t expect the corporate media to give these scandals the wall-to-wall coverage they deserve. Instead, Democrats’ allies in the press continue working overtime to shield corrupt officials while demonizing Republicans.

But the facts are undeniable: from Hunter Biden’s shady foreign ventures, to Adam Schiff’s suspected leaks, to Letitia James’ weaponized “lawfare,” and now Curren Price’s alleged embezzlement scheme, Democrats keep proving the GOP right. The real “threat to democracy” isn’t President Trump or conservative voters—it’s the left’s relentless corruption and abuse of power.
