Trump Administration Deports Violent Criminal Migrants to Eswatini, a Bold Move Against International Refusal
In a move underscoring President Donald J. Trump’s unwavering stance on law and order, five criminal foreign nationals—described as so depraved their own countries refused to take them back—have been deported to the African nation of Eswatini.
“NEW: a safe third country deportation flight to Eswatini in Southern Africa has landed— This flight took individuals so uniquely barbaric that their home countries refused to take them back,” posted Assistant Homeland Security Secretary Tricia McLaughlin on X (formerly Twitter).

“These depraved monsters have been terrorizing American communities but thanks to @POTUS Trump @Sec_Noem they are off of American soil,” she continued.
Among the deported individuals was a Vietnamese national convicted of child rape and sentenced to 20 years in prison.
According to Axios, the group included criminals from Cuba, Jamaica, Laos, Vietnam, and Yemen—all flown to Eswatini, a southern African nation formerly known as Swaziland.
McLaughlin detailed the criminal history of the Cuban deportee:
“Convicted of first-degree murder and aggravated battery. Convicted of aggravated battery of a police officer, grand theft-vehicle, aggravated flight-eluding law enforcement reckless driving; sentenced to 3 years confinement. Confirmed latin king street gang member.”
The Yemeni national, likewise, had a lengthy rap sheet:
“Convicted of second-degree homicide; Convicted of assault and battery; Convicted of resist and obstruct officer; sentenced to 17 days confinement. Convicted of cruelty to dependent adult; Convicted of assault with the intent to do great bodily harm less than murder or by strangulation; sentenced to 60 months confinement.”
Another deportee, a Laotian, was found guilty of multiple violent crimes:
“Convicted of second-degree murder and burglary (forced entry); sentenced to 20 years confinement. Convicted of operating a motor vehicle under influence of controlled substance. Charged with aggravated assault with deadly weapon and possession of methamphetamine.”
This is not the first time the Trump administration has taken such action. ABC News previously reported that eight criminal illegal aliens were deported to South Sudan, though that government has remained silent about their status.
“If their home countries aren’t taking them, they’re not taking them for a reason”

DHS Secretary Kristi Noem: Illegals can be deported to Third Party countries.
Best thing to do? Self deport. pic.twitter.com/CnogfLmXnC
A July 9 memo from acting ICE Director Todd Lyons, obtained by Fox News, revealed that migrants targeted for third-country deportation are usually given 24 hours’ notice. However, in urgent situations, that notice may be shortened to just six hours—so long as the individual has had access to legal counsel.
This unprecedented approach signals a clear message from President Trump: the safety of American citizens comes first, and the U.S. will no longer serve as a dumping ground for the world’s most dangerous criminals.
