Trump Border Czar Threatens to Jail FBI Agents Behind ICE Leaks

Border Czar Tom Homan has accused the FBI of leaking details about forthcoming raids targeting illegal immigrants, warning that those responsible will face jail time.

“We think it’s coming from inside,” he stated during an appearance on Fox News with Sean Hannity on Tuesday, referencing media leaks about recent ICE operations in Colorado.

Homan further alleged that the FBI was responsible for leaking information regarding a major raid set to take place in California by the end of the month. He explained, “Some of the information we are receiving tends towards the FBI.”

Reports indicate that the raid is so extensive that FBI and DEA agents are being called in to assist ICE agents.

Homan warned that it was “only a matter of time” before such leaks put officers in harm’s way, suggesting that “bad guys” could be lying in wait to ambush them.

When Hannity asked how certain he was about FBI involvement, Homan responded, “I talked to the deputy attorney general this week and they’ve opened up a criminal investigation. He thinks the information is coming from [the FBI].”

Homan confirmed that criminal investigations are underway to identify the individuals responsible for the leaks.

“We’ll let that investigation play out,” he said, adding, “But some of the leads point that way.”

If those behind the leaks are identified, Homan issued a stern warning: “Not only will this person lose their job [and] they will lose their pension, they will go to jail, they’re going to criminally prosecute,” he stated.

Homan has expressed his outrage over the apparent disclosure of details about an upcoming Immigration and Customs Enforcement raid in Aurora, Colorado.

Last week, he provided further insight into the alleged leak during a conversation with Fox News host Harris Faulkner, vowing to take action.

“We’ve already identified how this operation got leaked. I’ll deal with that today,” Homan said.

He added that ICE is working closely with the Department of Justice and suggested that Homeland Security may begin prosecuting those who interfere with the agency’s operations. “This is not a game. This is a dangerous job,” he emphasized. “To have this type of interference puts the officers at great risk.”

Meanwhile, certain Democrats have been accused of actively obstructing ICE’s operations.

New York Democrat Rep. Dan Goldman has come under scrutiny for allegedly advising individuals on how to avoid ICE raids.

“Every New Yorker has rights when they interact with immigration enforcement,” he wrote in a post on X. “No matter what the next four years bring, stay informed, stay safe, and stay together.”

“No matter what the next four years bring, stay informed, stay safe, and stay together,” he reiterated in a caption accompanying a video.

In the video, Goldman remarked, “The Trump administration has carried out deportations, raids all across the country, including here in New York City. These are certainly uncertain times, but no matter what, it’s important that you know your rights when interacting with law enforcement.”

He then provided guidance on “mak[ing] a plan for ICE encounters” and outlined options for pro bono legal assistance if detained.

Goldman’s spokesperson, Madison Andrus, made a controversial claim in an interview with the Daily Caller, stating, “President Trump has a well-documented pattern of abusing his power by detaining American citizens and legal residents. The Congressman will always provide his constituents with information to protect them from extrajudicial threats and intimidation, and only someone who supports the use of threats and intimidation would take issue with him doing so.”

An ICE spokesperson countered, clarifying that U.S. citizens are not subject to arrest but may be temporarily detained for identification purposes.

“U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement may encounter U.S. citizens while conducting fieldwork and may request identification to establish an individual’s identity,” the spokesperson told The Caller.

In December, Homan also weighed in on the matter, telling the outlet, “There are federal statutes on the books for knowingly concealing and harboring an illegal alien away from ICE officers. There are statutes on the books about impeding federal law enforcement officers – they’re all felonies.”

Republican lawmakers are livid over Democratic efforts to advise illegal immigrants on dealing with ICE.

“It’s completely disgraceful that Democrats are going to such extreme lengths to aid illegals — even going as far as using their official accounts to give instructions on evading ICE!” Republican North Carolina Rep. Mark Harris told The Caller.

“This is just the beginning of their extreme tactics to obstruct President Trump’s agenda. Speaking in Chinese or Spanish won’t hide the Left’s message: they care more about criminal aliens than the safety of the American people,” he added.
