Trump Calls On Fox News To Fire Two Top Personalities
Donald J. Trump publicly criticized two hosts at Fox News in a fiery post on Truth Social, accusing them of allowing Democrats to spread misinformation on air without pushback.
The president’s comments came after a recent episode of Fox News Sunday featuring Jake Auchincloss, a Democrat who used the appearance to criticize the administration’s handling of tensions with Iran.
Trump specifically targeted Fox News Sunday anchor Shannon Bream, claiming she failed to challenge what he described as misleading claims from Democratic guests.
“Tell Shannon Bream of FoxNews that it’s not the Save Act, it’s the Save America Act, a big difference! Also, when she insists on having lightweight Democrat Congressmen, such as Jake Auchincloss, on her not very hard hitting show, she should correct them when they spew out Democrat propaganda and lies. She never does! I always close deals, unlike the Dems, and did great with China in every way, also, unlike the Dems!” Trump said.
Trump Calls for Tarlov to Be Removed
The president also singled out Jessica Tarlov, a liberal panelist who appears on both The Five and Fox News Sunday.
In his post directed at network executives, Trump urged Fox to remove her from the air.
“For Fox executives only, take Jessica Tarlov off the air. She is, from her voice, to her lies, and everything else about her, one of the worst ‘personalities’ on television, a real loser! People cannot stand watching her. Thank you for your attention to this matter!” Trump continued.
Trump has previously criticized Tarlov for citing polling numbers and analysis he believes are inaccurate.
During a March appearance on The Five, the president remarked: “I watch Jessica, and I’m not a fan.”
“And she uses fake numbers. She’ll give, ‘Well, he’s only polling 42%.’ That’s not right. Polling very high, actually.”
He added that media outlets often publish misleading stories about him, saying he has been the frequent target of “bad journalists” who write “fake stories.”
CNN Criticized Over Iranian Claim
The president also lashed out at CNN earlier this week after the network reported statements from Iran claiming the regime had secured a victory in its confrontation with the United States.
The report cited a statement attributed to Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, which was reportedly circulated by Iranian state media.
“Iran says it has achieved a great victory and forced the United States to accept its 10-point plan, according to a statement from Iran’s Supreme National Security Council” that was reported “by Iranian state media,” CNN’s report began.
The report further claimed the United States had “in principle agreed” to lift sanctions, withdraw American forces from regional bases, and accept Iran’s nuclear enrichment program while recognizing Tehran’s control over the Strait of Hormuz.
Administration officials have repeatedly rejected those claims, describing them as propaganda from the Iranian regime.
Trump Calls Report a “Fraud”
Trump responded on Truth Social by accusing CNN of amplifying false information tied to a fraudulent source.
“The alleged Statement put out by CNN World News is a FRAUD, as CNN well knows. The false Statement was linked to a Fake News site (from Nigeria) and, of course, immediately picked up by CNN, and blared out as a ‘legitimate’ headline,” Trump wrote.
“The Official Statement by Iran was just released, and posted on TRUTH. … Authorities are looking to determine whether or not a crime was committed on the issuance of the Fake CNN World Statement, or was it a sick rogue player?”
The dispute comes as tensions remain high following the recent U.S. confrontation with the Iranian regime. Throughout the conflict, the administration has maintained that its primary objective is dismantling Iran’s nuclear enrichment capability and preventing the regime from acquiring nuclear weapons.
Trump’s latest comments underscore his continued willingness to challenge media organizations he believes are spreading misinformation — including networks that traditionally attract large conservative audiences.
