Trump Celebrates ‘Great Victory’ After ‘Big, Beautiful Bill’ Passes Key Senate Vote

President Donald J. Trump marked a major legislative victory this week as Senate Republicans advanced what he proudly calls his “Big, Beautiful Bill” — a sweeping proposal aimed at restoring fiscal sanity, securing America’s borders, and rolling back the progressive excesses of the Biden years.

After a dramatic four-hour voting session, the Senate approved a procedural motion to move forward with debate on the 940-page bill. The measure passed 51-49, with only two Republicans — Senators Thom Tillis (R-N.C.) and Rand Paul (R-Ky.) — opposing the move, setting the stage for 20 hours of debate before a final vote.

The legislation represents a cornerstone of President Trump’s second-term economic and national renewal agenda, and GOP lawmakers are rallying behind it.

Senator Ron Johnson (R-Wis.), who initially opposed the bill but flipped his vote after working directly with President Trump’s economic team, described it as a “necessary first step” toward long-term financial stability.

“Biden and the Democrats left behind enormous messes that we are trying to clean up — an open border, wars, and massive deficits,” Johnson said. “After working for weeks with President Trump and his highly capable economic team, I am convinced that he views this as a necessary first step and will support my efforts to help put America on a path to fiscal sustainability.”

President Trump didn’t hold back in naming names after the vote, slamming Tillis and Paul for their refusal to back the Republican majority.

“Thom Tillis has hurt the great people of North Carolina. Even on the catastrophic flooding, nothing was done to help until I took office. Then a MIRACLE took place! Tillis is a talker and complainer, NOT A DOER! He’s even worse than Rand ‘Fauci’ Paul!” Trump posted on Truth Social.

Senate Democrats, predictably, attempted to stall the bill — not because of its content, but because it threatens their grip on power. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) derided the legislation as “radical” and ordered his staff to begin reading the entire bill on the Senate floor to delay progress, a process that could take over 15 hours.

“Senate Republicans are scrambling to pass a radical bill, released to the public in the dead of night, praying the American people don’t realize what’s in it,” Schumer whined in a statement.

Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) took to social media to virtue signal, posting a late-night video boasting that Democrats were “holding the floor all night” to stall Trump’s America First agenda.

But while Democrats played politics, Republican leaders made it clear: they are serious about fixing the economic and national security disasters left by the Biden administration.

Senator Rick Scott (R-Fla.) declared that he was “proud” to work with President Trump on the bill and praised it as a long-overdue return to responsible governance.

“We will deliver on President Trump’s agenda and continue Making America Great Again!” Scott wrote.

President Trump, energized by the Senate’s momentum, expressed his enthusiasm and confidence on Truth Social, praising key Republican lawmakers who stood tall against the noise.

“They, along with all of the other Republican Patriots who voted for the Bill, are people who truly love our Country!” Trump wrote. “As President of the USA, I am proud of them all, and look forward to working with them to GROW OUR ECONOMY, REDUCE WASTEFUL SPENDING, SECURE OUR BORDER, FIGHT FOR OUR MILITARY/VETS, ENSURE THAT OUR MEDICAID SYSTEM HELPS THOSE WHO TRULY NEED IT, PROTECT OUR SECOND AMENDMENT, AND SO MUCH MORE. GOD BLESS AMERICA &, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!”

Senator John Cornyn (R-Texas) also highlighted the bill’s significance, saying Republicans are “one step closer” to delivering a long-overdue correction to the reckless economic trajectory charted under Joe Biden.

“Senate Republicans are one step closer to delivering on President Trump’s agenda by advancing the One Big Beautiful Bill, which will avoid a massive tax increase on Texas families, secure our southern border, remove burdensome taxes on Americans exercising their Second Amendment rights, and chart our country on a path toward fiscal sanity,” Cornyn said.

With the bill now under formal debate, Senate Republicans are poised to hand President Trump a major legislative win — and, if passed in time, deliver it to his desk before Independence Day.
