Trump Demands Fox News Take 'Real Loser' Host off the Air
President Donald J. Trump delivered a sharp rebuke of two Fox News personalities this week, taking to Truth Social to directly call out network leadership over what he described as biased coverage and unchallenged Democrat talking points.
The president’s criticism centered first on Shannon Bream, host of Fox News Sunday, following her recent interview with Massachusetts Democrat Rep. Jake Auchincloss. Trump accused Bream of failing to push back when Democrats use her platform to promote what he characterized as misleading narratives.
“Tell Shannon Bream of FoxNews that it’s not the Save Act, it’s the Save America Act, a big difference! Also, when she insists on having lightweight Democrat Congressmen, such as Jake Auchincloss, on her not very hard hitting show, she should correct them when they spew out Democrat propaganda and lies. She never does! I always close deals, unlike the Dems, and did great with China in every way, also, unlike the Dems!” Trump said.
The president didn’t stop there. He also took aim at Jessica Tarlov, a liberal panelist who appears on both The Five and Fox News Sunday, urging Fox executives to remove her from the network entirely.
“For Fox executives only, take Jessica Tarlov off the air. She is, from her voice, to her lies, and everything else about her, one of the worst ‘personalities’ on television, a real loser! People cannot stand watching her. Thank you for your attention to this matter!” Trump continued.
The clash comes amid ongoing tension between Trump and certain figures within Fox News, a network long viewed as friendly territory for conservatives but increasingly criticized by some on the right for platforming left-leaning voices without sufficient rebuttal.
During the interview that sparked the response, Auchincloss argued that the conflict involving Iran had been a “failure” and suggested Tehran has gained leverage through its strategic control of the Strait of Hormuz—claims that critics say deserved stronger scrutiny from the host.
Trump has previously voiced frustration with Fox News, particularly following the network’s controversial early projection that Joe Biden would carry Arizona in the 2020 election—an incident that sparked backlash from many conservative viewers.
In a March appearance on The Five, Trump reiterated his dissatisfaction with Tarlov’s commentary.
“I watch Jessica, and I’m not a fan,” Trump said.
“And she uses fake numbers. She’ll give, ‘Well, he’s only polling 42 percent.’ That’s not right. Polling very high, actually.”
Despite the criticism, Trump tempered his remarks slightly by adding, “I’m sure I’d like her. I’m sure she’s a lovely person.”
Still, the broader message from the president was unmistakable: he expects fairer coverage and stronger accountability when opposing viewpoints are presented—especially on a network many conservatives rely on for balanced reporting.
