Trump Hasn’t Spoken To Walz as DOJ Involved After Minn. Lawmaker Shootings
President Donald J. Trump confirmed that he has not spoken with Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz in the wake of the brazen political assassinations that rocked the state over the weekend — but made clear he’s monitoring the situation closely and preparing his administration to act decisively.
Asked by ABC’s Rachel Scott if he planned to speak with Walz, President Trump didn’t mince words.
“Well, it’s a terrible thing. I think he’s a terrible governor. I think he’s a grossly incompetent person,” Trump said. “But I may, I may call him, I may call other people too.”

View PlansWhile condemning the “horrific violence,” the President offered prayers to the people of Minnesota and promised action:
“Such horrific violence will not be tolerated in the United States of America. God Bless the great people of Minnesota, a truly great place.”
Attorney General Pam Bondi announced the Department of Justice is fully engaged, with FBI agents already on the ground investigating what appears to be a politically motivated targeted attack on Democrat lawmakers.
“This horrific violence will not be tolerated and will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law,” Bondi posted to X.
FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino echoed the same resolve, noting that federal agents are working hand-in-hand with local authorities.
The suspect, Vance Boelter, 57, allegedly assassinated Minnesota House Speaker Emerita Melissa Hortman and her husband, and shot State Sen. John Hoffman and his wife, who remain hospitalized.
Authorities say Boelter left behind a manifesto listing dozens of public officials as targets, as well as anti-Trump flyers reading “No Kings,” which were also seen at coordinated anti-ICE demonstrations across the country on the same day as the killings.
Despite the gravity of the incident, Minnesota officials are refusing to release the manifesto, raising serious questions about transparency and political bias.
Former NFL player and Minnesota resident Jack Brewer pulled no punches in a passionate Fox News appearance, where he blasted Gov. Walz for turning the state into a leftist war zone.
“We need to start calling this what it is. These people have lost their minds,” Brewer said. “I am heartbroken to see one of the most amazing states in America completely turned around under Gov. Tim Walz. Minnesota is confused.”
Brewer went on to condemn Minneapolis and St. Paul’s far-left machine, which he blamed for the rise in violence, chaos, and political extremism.
“Tim Walz is the leader of that. His attorney general, Keith Ellison, is right there with him,” he said.

Boelter was arrested Sunday night in Sibley County after what authorities described as a coordinated manhunt involving local, state, and federal partners. He was found crawling toward law enforcement and taken into custody without further incident.
“The face of evil,” declared the Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office. “Thanks to the dedication of multiple agencies working together along with support from the community, justice is one step closer.”

View PlansThe Biden-appointed FBI had previously dragged its feet in similar politically sensitive cases, but under Trump’s leadership, the DOJ is making clear this attack on democracy will be prosecuted without leniency.
Meanwhile, pressure continues to mount on Minnesota officials to release the suspect’s manifesto, especially after officials confirmed the existence of a hit list targeting dozens of elected leaders.
