Trump Orders Bondi To Seek Release of Epstein Info
President Donald J. Trump took swift action Thursday, directing Attorney General Pam Bondi to push for the public release of all grand jury materials related to the late Jeffrey Epstein — a move designed to counter what Trump described as a coordinated “Democrat scam” and a deceptive media narrative seeking to smear him.
The decision comes after an uproar from conservative leaders and grassroots MAGA influencers, who demanded transparency following a Department of Justice memo that claimed there was no “Epstein client list” and no foul play surrounding Epstein’s suspicious jailhouse death in 2019. That memo also stated that no further disclosures would be forthcoming — despite Trump’s campaign promises to shine a light on the case.
“Based on the ridiculous amount of publicity given to Jeffrey Epstein, I have asked Attorney General Pam Bondi to produce any and all pertinent Grand Jury testimony, subject to Court approval. This SCAM, perpetuated by the Democrats, should end, right now!” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

The renewed interest in Epstein’s network of elite associates follows a media stunt by The Wall Street Journal, which published what it claimed was a 2003 birthday letter from Trump to Epstein — a letter featuring a nude outline and signed “Donald,” allegedly ending with the line: “Happy Birthday — and may every day be another wonderful secret.”
Trump immediately and forcefully denied the claim, stating that the letter is a fabrication.
“The Wall Street Journal, and Rupert Murdoch, personally, were warned directly by President Donald J. Trump that the supposed letter they printed by President Trump to Epstein was a FAKE and, if they print it, they will be sued,” Trump wrote.
After the Journal went ahead and published the dubious document, the President followed up with a second blistering post:
“The Wall Street Journal printed a FAKE letter, supposedly to Epstein. These are not my words, not the way I talk. Also, I don’t draw pictures. I told Rupert Murdoch it was a Scam, that he shouldn’t print this Fake Story. But he did, and now I’m going to sue his ass off, and that of his third rate newspaper,” he posted.
President Trump also reminded supporters that he has previously won legal battles against left-wing media outlets like ABC News, CBS, and others — and vowed to hold The Wall Street Journal accountable for what he called a malicious and defamatory attack.
Others in Trump’s circle quickly stepped up to defend him.
Elon Musk, the tech entrepreneur and former DOGE boss, took to X to call the letter’s tone suspect.

“It really doesn’t sound like something Trump would say tbh [to be honest],” Musk posted.
Vice President JD Vance bluntly denounced the story as “complete and utter bullshit,” while White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt accused The Wall Street Journal of fabricating a “hatchet job” designed to damage the President’s credibility.
Leavitt also revealed that WSJ editors “refused to show us the letter and conceded they don’t even have it in their possession when we asked them to verify the alleged document.”

View PlansWhen pressed on whether more Epstein documents would be released, Leavitt made clear the administration remains open to full transparency — but only if credible new evidence emerges.
As President Trump moves forward with his legal action against the Journal, and Bondi prepares her court motion, the real question is this: who’s afraid of the truth?
