Trump Picks Beloved Fox Host For New Role
President Donald Trump on Monday announced he will nominate State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce to serve as the United States’ deputy representative to the United Nations, a position carrying the rank of ambassador.
“I am pleased to announce that I am nominating Tammy Bruce, a Great Patriot, Television Personality, and Bestselling Author, as our next Deputy Representative of the United States to the United Nations, with the rank of Ambassador,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. He praised Bruce’s performance at the State Department, saying she has been “serving with distinction” and will “represent our Country brilliantly at the United Nations.”
Bruce, one of the most visible members of the State Department in Trump’s second term, has regularly led press briefings on the administration’s foreign policy. Her nomination comes while the U.S. still lacks a confirmed UN ambassador—Mike Waltz, Trump’s pick for the top post, is awaiting a full Senate vote after his confirmation hearing last month.

If confirmed by the Senate, she would step into the UN role at a time when the administration’s unapologetic pro-Israel stance—especially amid criticism over its Gaza policy—has heightened tensions with some allies.
Bruce recently drew national attention in a Fox News interview where she defended Trump’s hard line toward Russian President Vladimir Putin. Asked about Putin’s mixed signals amid the Ukraine war, Bruce said:

He’s made it clear what the problem is… This is serious business. There’s carnage. Innocent people are dying every day, and clearly, I think Russia understands that when President Trump says something, he’s serious and they need to take him seriously.”
If approved, Bruce would become one of the administration’s top voices at the United Nations, reinforcing Trump’s America First foreign policy and challenging globalist opposition to his diplomatic agenda.
