Trump Picks Fox News Host Mark Levin For Key Post
On Thursday, President Donald Trump announced the appointment of Fox News host Mark Levin and former contributor Bo Dietl to the revamped Homeland Security Advisory Council (HSAC).
“I am proud to announce the formation of my revamped Homeland Security Advisory Council (HSAC), which is comprised of Top Experts in their field, who are highly respected by their peers,” Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social.
He continued: “It is a big honor to serve on HSAC, and I know the new Members, South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster, Mark Levin, Bo Dietl, and Joseph Gruters, will do an incredible job. Under Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem’s leadership, HSAC will work hard on developing new Policies and Strategies that will help us secure our Border, deport Illegal Criminal Thugs, stop the flow of Fentanyl and other illegal drugs that are killing our Citizens, and MAKE AMERICA SAFE AGAIN. Congratulations to all!”

Levin, well-known for hosting a weekend program on Fox News along with a popular nationally syndicated radio show, acknowledged the announcement on social media, saying: “What an honor! Thank you, Mr. President!”
Levin’s presence in media will remain strong, thanks to a major agreement signed with Cumulus Media back in February.
This new contract ensures Levin stays on the air for “multiple years,” and includes fresh additions to his schedule.
Since 2007, Levin, 66, has worked with Cumulus Media and Westwood One. His latest contract includes plans for an entirely new podcast project—his first original podcast series—according to the Washington Examiner.
“This has been my radio home for 23 years, and I am more excited than ever, especially during these tumultuous and historic times, to continue my relationship with my first-rate broadcast partners for many years to come,” Levin said.
Collin Jones, president of Westwood One and an executive vice president at Cumulus Media, praised Levin, stating: “Mark is a powerful and influential voice with an incredible ability to establish strong relationships with his listeners while driving tremendous results for his advertising partners. Mark has been dubbed ‘The Great One’ for his ability to concisely break down the day’s most significant topics, and we are thrilled to grow our partnership with him for years to come.”
As noted by the Examiner: “Levin has been a must-listen for years. A legal scholar who was also a Reagan-era Justice Department chief of staff, he produces analyses of key issues from the court troubles facing former President Donald Trump to the Biden scandals in a very clear-cut and understandable fashion. He is also a leading critic of the liberal media, long exposing the efforts to hide President Joe Biden’s mental failings before the media finally admitted them after last Thursday’s presidential debate.”
Levin’s flagship radio program, The Mark Levin Show, airs weekdays from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on nearly 400 stations across the country, reaching all 10 of the top metro markets and 21 of the top 25. The show also has a companion podcast, Mark Levin Audio Rewind, available Monday through Friday on major platforms.
In addition, a weekend podcast titled The Best of Mark Levin offers a curated selection of the week’s most important segments. On Saturdays, Levin hosts Life, Liberty, and Levin on Fox News.
“I understand my obligation is to serve the millions of patriotic Americans in the audience. I am blessed to do what I do, and I am committed every day to providing detailed analyses of current events along with historic context, commentary, and my in-depth perspectives to deliver the very best broadcasting I am able to share with our many listeners,” said Levin, who has been inducted into the Radio Hall of Fame.
In December, Levin shifted his Fox News program to the Saturday night 8 PM prime-time slot, doubling his on-air presence as he also continues to appear on Sunday nights at 8 PM.
