Trump’s Economy Added More Jobs Than Expected, As Unemployment Falls

Despite the legacy media’s doom-and-gloom headlines about “economic uncertainty” and fearmongering over tariffs, the U.S. economy under President Donald J. Trump is proving resilient, steady, and increasingly strong.

New data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics released Thursday revealed that the economy added 147,000 jobs in June, easily surpassing the forecast of 117,500. Meanwhile, the unemployment rate dipped to 4.1%, outperforming expectations that it would rise to 4.3%.

And the positive news didn’t stop there. May’s job gains were revised upward to 144,000, and April’s numbers rose by 11,000 to a net of 158,000, continuing a pattern of upward revisions — a welcome change from the Biden years, when the Labor Department frequently revised job numbers downward after the headlines had already faded.

Over the past three months, the economy has averaged 150,000 jobs created per month, demonstrating that Trump’s economic strategy — rooted in low taxes, deregulation, and fair trade policy — is once again delivering for the American worker.

As CNN reluctantly reported, the markets responded positively to the news:

“Stocks opened higher after the jobs report. The Dow rose 96 points, or 0.22%. The broader S&P 500 rose 0.4% and the tech-heavy Nasdaq gained 0.6%.”

On Fox Business Network, Job Creators Network CEO Alfredo Ortiz gave credit where it’s due — to the man in the Oval Office.

“Hats off to President Trump because this three-legged stool of his has really been powerful: The trade, taxes, and deregulation together. It’s all about Jobs! Jobs! Jobs!” he said.

President Trump also highlighted the labor report on his Truth Social account, posting a video clip from Bloomberg’s economic segment:

“This is good news; much better than expected. … In our survey, economists were looking for [the unemployment rate] to climb up to 4.3 — It comes in at 4.1. Jobless claims — Much lower than expected.”

And while the economy surges ahead, the legislative engine in Washington is preparing to make history. Appearing Wednesday night on Fox News with Sean Hannity, House Speaker Mike Johnson detailed plans to deliver a signature legislative package — the One Big Beautiful Bill — that would cement Trump’s America First agenda into law.

“85 to 90% of this bill is the House generated product. The Senate made some modifications to it. They made it more conservative in some places and moderated it a little bit in others,” Johnson said. “But I’ll tell you what, as the President said so well today, this is no longer just a House bill, it’s not a Senate bill, it’s the bill of the hardworking American people.”

Johnson committed to final passage by July 4th, calling it the culmination of over a year of legislative groundwork.

“We’re at the one-yard line in this game that’s been played over a year, really. We worked on this for about 14 months to get us to this point. We’re going to run it right up the middle and score for the American people,” he said.

He also emphasized the bill’s conservative credentials and its potential to reduce the federal footprint:

“It’s the most conservative piece of legislation we’ve ever worked on. You need to mention at the same time that even though while we’re having historic tax cuts, we also have historic savings. We’re going to save $1.6 trillion for the American people.”

That includes reforms to programs like Medicaid, Johnson said, where new work requirements would be reinstated to ensure the safety net is reserved for those truly in need.

“If you’re a young, able-bodied man, you should be helping to pull the wagon, not riding it,” he stated.

While left-wing pundits focus on distractions, the numbers don’t lie: President Trump’s second-term economic revival is in full swing, and Republican leadership is backing it with bold, pro-growth legislation that honors the will of the American people.
