Tulsi Gabbard Cleans House: Deep State Loyalists Ousted as Trump’s DNI Gets to Work
Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard is wasting no time delivering on her mission to dismantle the entrenched bureaucratic forces that have long defied accountability and transparency in Washington. Appointed by President Donald Trump for her unapologetic independence and patriotic resolve, Gabbard is proving she’s the right woman for the job.
“I know Tulsi will bring the fearless spirit that has defined her illustrious career to our Intelligence Community, championing our Constitutional Rights, and securing Peace through Strength,” President Trump stated in his announcement last November.
Now, Gabbard is making good on that promise.
According to a Tuesday exclusive from Fox News, Gabbard has fired the top leadership at the National Intelligence Council (NIC) — a move widely applauded by conservatives who have long demanded the purging of anti-Trump operatives embedded within the intelligence apparatus.
Among those removed were Mike Collins, the acting chair of the NIC, and Maria Langan-Riekhof, his deputy — both of whom were reportedly hostile to President Trump’s agenda, according to whistleblowers.
Collins is alleged to have ties to the now-debunked campaign to discredit Hunter Biden’s laptop as “Russian disinformation,” a false narrative that conveniently emerged during the 2020 election to protect Joe Biden from scrutiny.
Langan-Riekhof, on the other hand, is known for her aggressive support of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives, and her open hostility toward Trump-era policies.
As part of a broader shake-up, Gabbard is also relocating the National Intelligence Council’s offices out of CIA territory and back under the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) — a strategic move meant to increase oversight and curtail rogue operations.
This is only the beginning.
According to internal whistleblowers, Gabbard has signaled further removals targeting “deep state leakers” operating inside the ODNI — bureaucrats who have for years trafficked in partisan leaks and weaponized classified intelligence for political purposes.
“Politicization of our intelligence and leaking classified information puts our nation’s security at risk and must end,” Gabbard told Fox News.
“Those who leak classified information will be found and held accountable to the fullest extent of the law.”
The former Hawaii congresswoman has been relentless in the early months of her tenure, pursuing a comprehensive overhaul of the intelligence community and exposing years of unchecked corruption.
In late March, she revoked the security clearances of several high-profile officials — including former President Joe Biden and failed vice-presidential candidate Kamala Harris:
Per @POTUS directive, I have revoked former President Joe Biden’s security clearance, and revoked clearances and access to classified information for Kamala Harris, Hillary Clinton, Liz Cheney, Adam Kinzinger, Fiona Hill, and Alexander Vindman.

Shortly after, Gabbard launched a formal investigation into credible election fraud allegations — a top priority of President Trump’s since 2020. And just days later, she went public with disturbing revelations: documents from the Biden-era intelligence community that allegedly labeled white Americans as potential domestic terror threats.
Each move has reinforced Gabbard’s commitment to restoring integrity and neutrality to America’s intelligence infrastructure — something that had all but eroded under the previous administration.
As President Trump and his administration press forward with cleaning out the “deep state,” Tulsi Gabbard is showing exactly why she was chosen: she’s not here to play games. She’s here to drain the swamp.
