U.S. Attorney Announces Major Arrest Amid L.A. Anti-ICE Riots
President Donald J. Trump’s administration is ramping up its crackdown on the out-of-control anti-ICE riots in Los Angeles, now entering their sixth consecutive day. Federal authorities have begun making targeted arrests as radical leftist groups escalate their tactics with alarming precision and funding.
Disturbing footage aired live by FOX LA on Monday revealed what looked like a coordinated delivery of professional-grade riot gear to demonstrators—specifically, high-tech Uvex Bionic Face Shields, typically used by professionals in hazardous industrial environments. These heavy-duty face shields, designed to protect against flying debris and chemicals, are now being used by rioters to shield themselves from crowd control measures deployed by law enforcement.
FOX LA’s Elex Michaelson confirmed the gear was being openly distributed to agitators. The presence of such equipment is further complicating efforts by police and federal agents to restore order and protect federal property.

View PlansInvestigative journalist Andy Ngo reported that far-left operatives have launched a crowdfunding website to bankroll these riot supplies, describing them as intended for “open border insurrectionists” wreaking havoc in Los Angeles.

Now, federal law enforcement is taking action.
On Monday, U.S. Attorney for the Central District of California, Bill Essayli, announced that the FBI arrested Alejandro Theodoro Orellana in connection with the distribution of riot gear. Orellana is facing charges under 18 U.S.C. § 371 – Conspiracy to Commit Civil Disorder.

According to RANN, Orellana is allegedly affiliated with the Brown Berets, a radical Latino paramilitary group with a growing footprint across multiple American cities. Their activities, critics say, have long bordered on domestic subversion.
He chose poorly.

Former National Security Council official Joshua Steinman, who served under President Trump during his first term, told the Daily Caller that Orellana fits the profile of “foreign sabotage operatives” who, in his view, were enabled to infiltrate the U.S. during the Biden era’s lax border policies.

Meanwhile, President Trump praised the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals for siding with his administration’s use of the California National Guard to secure the streets of Los Angeles.
“The Appeals Court ruled last night that I can use the National Guard to keep our cities, in this case Los Angeles, safe,” President Trump wrote on Truth Social. “If I didn’t send the Military into Los Angeles, that city would be burning to the ground right now. We saved L.A. Thank you for the Decision!!!”
The ruling put a hold on a controversial decision by U.S. District Judge Charles Breyer, who had earlier sided with California officials in claiming that President Trump had violated the 10th Amendment by deploying National Guard units without Governor Gavin Newsom’s blessing.
Breyer asserted that Trump’s order “exceeded the scope of his statutory authority and violated the Tenth Amendment,” and demanded that operational control of the Guard be returned to Newsom.

View PlansCalifornia's lawsuit—filed against President Trump, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, and the Department of Defense—sought to limit the Guard’s mission strictly to protecting federal facilities, and barred any support for broader law enforcement efforts.
But the 9th Circuit’s decision reinforces the constitutional power of the Commander-in-Chief to safeguard American cities when Democrat governors fail to do so.
