Video: Illegal Alien Calls U.S. a "Corrupt Government" While in ICE Custody

Kilmar Abrego Garcia — the illegal immigrant Democrats and their media allies laughably labeled a “Maryland Man” — has once again reminded Americans why President Donald Trump’s immigration crackdown is so essential.

On Monday, the Department of Homeland Security released a video on X showing Garcia being escorted through an ICE facility in shackles. The El Salvador native, who faces deportation, muttered two words in Spanish as agents walked him down the corridor:

“Gobierno corrupto.”

The phrase translates to “corrupt government.” Though the audio was not flawless, Fox News and others confirmed the words were clear enough to catch.

DHS: Trump Will Not Allow Criminal Alien to Terrorize Citizens

Shortly after the video surfaced, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem made it clear that the Trump administration is determined to end Garcia’s presence in America.

“President Trump is not going to allow this illegal alien, who is an MS-13 gang member, human trafficker, serial domestic abuser, and child predator to terrorize American citizens any longer,” Noem declared.

Corruption in the Courts

While Garcia apparently intended his insult for the current administration, his words better describe the broken judicial system that consistently obstructs immigration enforcement. On the same day the video was released, U.S. District Judge Paula Xinis — an Obama appointee — stepped in to halt Garcia’s deportation.

Xinis demanded written arguments from both sides and scheduled an evidentiary hearing, once again proving how activist judges drag out proceedings that should be decided with a simple question:

“Are you in this country legally? Yes? Welcome. No? Goodbye.”

The Real “Corrupt Government”

If Garcia had been referring to the failures of the Biden years, or the entrenched bureaucracy in Washington that enables open borders, his words would have struck closer to the truth. A truly corrupt government is one that:

• Usurps the authority of the duly elected president through judicial activism.
• Encourages mass illegal migration, as Joe Biden did.
• Concentrates power in the swamp of Washington, D.C., where career bureaucrats protect their own interests instead of the American people.

Indeed, the only reason Garcia and millions of others have remained in the United States is because of that very corruption.

Democrats’ Twisted Priorities

The left has a disturbing tendency to glorify criminals and thugs while ignoring real victims. From George Floyd to Luigi Mangione — and now Garcia — Democrats elevate lawbreakers while abandoning law-abiding citizens who suffer from the consequences of their reckless policies.

In that sense, Garcia’s words, though misdirected, were not entirely wrong. He finally said something true — even if he didn’t mean to.
