VP Vance Rips Ilhan Omar Over Resurfaced ‘Fearful of White Men’ Clip

A resurfaced video of far-left Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) has triggered a storm of backlash this week, as Americans once again question the Minnesota congresswoman’s loyalty, rhetoric, and role in government.

The clip, originally from a 2018 interview with Al-Jazeera, shows Omar—now a prominent member of the far-left “Squad”—making inflammatory remarks about White Americans while discussing domestic terrorism and national security.

“I would say our country should be more fearful of White men across our country, because they are actually causing most of the deaths within this country,” Omar said in response to a question about the threat of jihadism in the United States.

“And so if fear was the driving force of policies to keep America safe, Americans safe inside of this country, we should be profiling, monitoring, and creating policies to fight the radicalization of white men,” she added.

The racially charged and wildly inaccurate remarks have once again put Omar in the national spotlight—this time as Americans rally against what many see as open anti-White bigotry and anti-American behavior from a sitting member of Congress.

Conservative voices quickly responded across social media platforms. Vice President JD Vance posted on X: “This isn’t just sick; it’s actually genocidal language. What a disgrace this person is.”

Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) also weighed in, stating plainly, “This is blatant racism. Who condemns it?”

Rep. Tom Emmer (R-MN), the GOP Majority Whip, added: “@ilhanMN never ceases to be an embarrassment for Minnesota.”

“There’s never been a more anti-American member of Congress than Ilhan Omar,” conservative commentator Paul Szypula said on X.

Rather than apologize or walk back her comments, Omar instead doubled down in a defensive X post, pointing critics to a nearly decade-old report from the Anti-Defamation League.

“In this nearly 8yr old clip, I am referring to the rise of white nationalism in an annual report issued by the Anti-Defamation League that said white supremacists were responsible for 78 percent of ‘extremist-related murders,’” Omar wrote. “PS you should look up what ‘genocidal’ actually means when you’re actively supporting a genocide taking place in Gaza.”

Her response was in reference to Israel’s ongoing defensive campaign against Hamas, the terrorist organization responsible for the October 2023 massacre in southern Israel that left over 1,300 Israelis dead and more than 200 kidnapped—many of whom have since been executed by Hamas in captivity.

Omar’s history of inflammatory rhetoric, particularly against the Jewish community, is well documented. Even members of her own party have condemned her for making anti-Semitic remarks, further straining her reputation in Washington.

Rep. Brandon Gill (R-TX), a first-term congressman and strong ally of President Donald Trump, called on the administration to take swift action against Omar.

“America would be a better place if @IlhanMN were deported back to Somalia,” Gill wrote on X.

Attached to the post was a video clip—shared by conservative commentator Greg Price—showing Omar appearing to coach Somali immigrants, possibly residing in the U.S. illegally, on how to evade federal immigration enforcement.

“Ilhan Omar is now hosting workshops for Somalians living in the country illegally to advise them on how to avoid being deported,” Price wrote.

Support poured in for Gill’s call, with many X users demanding Omar face legal consequences for allegedly helping illegal aliens circumvent the law.

“100%! She’s anti-American as they come,” one user posted. “She pledged allegiance to the United States and has only ever acted against it. She’s a fraud, liar, and traitor to this country!”

“Isn’t this against the law? Expel her!” wrote another.

“She is committing federal crimes by telling illegal immigrants how to avoid ICE,” one user added. “She deserves to be investigated and prosecuted.”

Rep. Gill later posted, “We should have never let Ilhan Omar into our country.”

A spokesperson for Gill further clarified the congressman’s stance in a comment to The Hill: “Representative Omar’s conduct raises questions about to whom she is most loyal—the American people or illegal aliens from Somalia. Representative Gill simply stated that it is disgraceful for a sitting Congresswoman and U.S. citizen to facilitate the invasion of our country by illegal alien Somalis.”

For years, Omar has faced allegations of immigration-related fraud, although no formal evidence has emerged. Still, the latest revelations have reignited the debate over how someone with a record of such incendiary and divisive rhetoric continues to hold public office.

As President Trump and his administration continue to fight to restore law, order, and national identity, Americans are watching closely—demanding accountability for those in Congress who appear more interested in defending foreign interests and unlawful behavior than serving the country they swore to uphold.
