Watch: Chuck Schumer Accidentally Admits the Truth When Asked About Biden and the Epstein Files
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer accidentally stumbled into honesty on Monday — and in doing so, he raised the very question Democrats have spent years dodging.
During a press exchange, a reporter asked Schumer why the federal government failed to release the Jeffrey Epstein files during Joe Biden’s presidency.
“Why wouldn’t they [the Epstein files] have been released the last four years when President Biden was in office?” the reporter asked.
“That’s the question every American is asking,” Schumer replied. “Not every American, but so many Americans are asking. What the hell is [Donald Trump] hiding? Why doesn’t he want them released?”
The problem for Schumer is that the reporter never asked about President Donald Trump — he inserted Trump’s name himself.
Whether it was a misheard question, a sloppy dodge, or a Freudian slip, Schumer’s answer unintentionally underscored a glaring reality:
If Democrats truly believed Trump was implicated in Epstein’s underage sex-trafficking network, Biden’s Justice Department had four full years to weaponize the files during their unprecedented legal crusade against the Republican presidential candidate ahead of the 2024 election.
But they didn’t — and Americans are noticing.
President Trump addressed the matter directly on Monday from the White House, making clear he supports releasing the documents.
“They can do whatever they want. We’ll give them everything,” he said.
“We have nothing to do with Epstein; the Democrats do. All of his friends were Democrats,” Trump stated.
He named several well-known figures with documented connections to Epstein, including billionaire Reid Hoffman, former President Bill Clinton, and former Clinton Treasury Secretary Larry Summers.
“I hate to see that deflect from the great job we’ve done, so I’m all for it,” Trump said, emphasizing that his administration had already released 50,000 pages tied to the case.
“It’s just a Russia, Russia, Russia hoax, as it pertains to the Republicans,” the president said.
Trump concluded: “It’s really a Democrat problem. The Democrats were Epstein’s friends… The whole thing is a hoax. I don’t want it to take away from really the greatness of what the Republican Party has accomplished.”
In the end, Schumer may have been trying to spin yet another anti-Trump narrative — but instead, he inadvertently highlighted the obvious:
If Democrats had anything on Trump in the Epstein files, they would have unleashed it long before the 2024 election.
