WATCH: Florida Senator Passes Out While Speaking at Press Conference

Florida Republican State Sen. Ileana Garcia briefly collapsed during a press conference with Governor Ron DeSantis, just moments before the governor reaffirmed Florida’s leadership in defending its citizens against chemical exposure and unauthorized atmospheric manipulation.

Garcia, who was speaking about environmental legislation during the event, turned toward DeSantis and quietly said, “Governor, forgive me. I’ve gotta sit down because I am not feeling well,” before suddenly collapsing sideways.

Fortunately, Florida Surgeon General Dr. Joseph Ladapo was nearby and quickly caught Garcia before she hit the ground, reassuring her by saying, “We got you.” State officials immediately brought her water and a chair.

A few moments later, Garcia stood up to a warm round of applause and returned to the podium with good humor. “Are you kidding? This was my moment,” she said, joking about the brief scare. “Nerve-racking, but this was my moment, and I so appreciate your grace, Governor DeSantis.”

DeSantis appeared briefly after Garcia resumed her speech, and the event continued as planned.

The incident came just before Governor DeSantis offered strong support for two major pieces of legislation passed by the Florida Legislature—measures that underscore the state’s commitment to defending public health, bodily autonomy, and environmental transparency.

“Today I was in Miami to support SB 700, which bans local governments from unilaterally adding fluoride to public drinking water,” DeSantis stated. “In addition to this, I also reiterated in Miami that Florida is not a testing ground for geoengineering.”

“We already do not permit this activity, and I will be signing SB 56 to prohibit the practice in our skies,” the governor added. “The Free State of Florida means freedom from governments or private actors unilaterally applying chemicals or geoengineering to people or public spaces.”

Senate Bill 700, part of the broader Florida Farm Bill, bars local governments from adding fluoride to public water systems without proper oversight. This comes after Florida Surgeon General Dr. Ladapo issued a public warning in November 2024 cautioning against water fluoridation, particularly for vulnerable groups like pregnant women and children.

Senate Bill 56 goes even further—delivering what many see as a landmark blow against secretive environmental experimentation. The legislation makes it a third-degree felony to inject or release substances into the atmosphere with the intent of modifying the weather, temperature, sunlight, or climate. Violators could face up to five years in prison and $100,000 in fines.

Florida isn’t just passing laws—it’s putting teeth behind them. Beginning October 1, 2025, all publicly owned airports will be required to report the presence of any aircraft equipped with geoengineering or weather modification technology.

The Florida Department of Environmental Protection will also launch a public reporting system this summer to allow residents to report suspected violations.

These decisive actions reflect the state’s broader mission under Governor DeSantis and President Donald Trump to protect individual rights, uphold government accountability, and reject the globalist push for unchecked environmental intervention.

While the radical Left pushes for unelected bureaucrats and foreign interests to dictate what goes in our water and our skies, Florida is drawing a line: no forced chemicals, no covert atmospheric tampering, and no compromises on liberty.
