Watch: Jasmine Crockett Reaches New Heights of Fantasy on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’

Texas Democratic Rep. Jasmine Crockett made another head-scratching appearance this week, this time on “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” where she showcased her signature flair for dramatic statements and questionable takes.

Host Jimmy Kimmel kicked things off with an eyebrow-raising introduction, calling Crockett “a member of Congress who makes a lot of sense to me.”

To back up that claim, he aired a clip of Crockett reacting to Trump’s joint congressional address back in March. In it, she exclaimed, “This is a terrible nightmare, somebody slap me and wake me the f*** up because I’m ready to get on with it.”

WARNING: The following post and video contains explicit language some viewers may find offensive.

After Crockett joined him on stage, Kimmel added, “I think it’s fair to say you’re the most entertaining member of Congress right now.”

Crockett modestly replied, “I don’t know.”

For a brief moment, she dialed things down, speaking in a more measured tone — that is, until Kimmel brought up tech mogul Elon Musk. That’s when things took a turn.

“When you bring up the idiot known as Elon Musk, he is not only, like, very sinister and has no idea what he’s doing,” Crockett said.

“He knows how to hire smart people, but don’t conflate that and believe he is the genius, because he ain’t,” she continued.

Soon, Crockett shifted into full political attack mode, tying Musk to Donald Trump and conservative media.

“The stench [of Musk] ain’t getting off of you [President Donald] Trump, honey, like you are a problem, he is a problem. Pete [Hegseth] is a problem. All of y’all a problem,” she declared, reverting to her more flamboyant style.

Kimmel then asked, “Would you be willing to take an IQ test publicly against the president of the United States?”

“Absolutely,” she said without hesitation.

It’s worth noting that Crockett’s most notable achievement is winning a seat in a solidly Democratic district. Yet here she was, implying she’s intellectually superior to a former president who built a global business empire, led a hit reality show, and won the presidency twice.

She then offered her version of political analysis on why Trump triumphed, saying, “Can’t nobody tell you what Donald Trump’s policies were — at all. Like, you ask them, like, what policies? ‘I don’t know, but he gonna bring down the cost of eggs!’ Last I checked, that didn’t happen, right?”

However, contrary to her claim, the price of eggs has actually dropped by more than half since Trump left office. What cost around $7 per dozen is now closer to $3.10 — so yes, Congresswoman, that did happen.

Crockett ended her appearance with some thoughts on how Democrats can win back voters.

“I think that people are voting for … who they feel is being honest with them, even if they don’t like what they’re saying. So I think that we just really need to tap into like being OK with just being real people and showing people that we are real people, and we’ll be fine,” she said.

Authenticity does matter to voters, and Crockett might want to decide which version of herself she plans to present. But beyond authenticity, what voters really want are practical, grounded ideas — and that’s something Crockett and her fellow Democrats in Congress have yet to deliver.
