Watch: Patriots Player Helps Take Down Field Invader in Moment Not Seen During Broadcast
Super Bowl LX briefly came to a standstill Sunday night after a shirtless fan stormed the field during the fourth quarter, forcing security into a chaotic pursuit that only ended with unexpected help from the New England Patriots themselves.
The disruption unfolded at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, during the championship matchup between the Seattle Seahawks and the Patriots. According to People magazine, at least five security guards immediately chased the intruder, who managed to evade capture with surprisingly athletic moves that kept the crowd—and cameras—locked on the spectacle.
In a moment rich with irony, the chase ended when Patriots wide receiver Kyle Williams stepped in to assist. As Williams closed in, the fan slipped and fell near the 10-yard line.

“The slip-up allowed security guards to catch up to the individual and tackle them, and the spectator appeared to be placed in handcuffs before they were escorted off the field,” People reported.
The outlet also noted that the distraction nearly escalated further, writing that “another spectator also attempted to run onto the field but was tackled before they could do so.”
British outlet The Express later identified the main offender as Alex Gonzalez, a repeat Super Bowl “streaker” with a history of pulling similar stunts on the league’s biggest stage.
“Two years earlier, Gonzalez, accompanied by Sebastian Riviera, had stormed the field during Super Bowl LVIII between the San Francisco 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs,” the outlet reported.

Gonzalez is reportedly a Miami-based day trader who used Sunday’s stunt as a promotional ploy. Written across his back were the words “Trade with Athena,” along with his Instagram handle, “fxalexg.”
Following his 2024 Super Bowl stunt, Gonzalez openly bragged about the consequences on social media.
“I’d literally just paid $42,000 to go to jail,” he wrote at the time.
“One of my goals has always been to streak the Super Bowl,” he added. “And I don’t want to be that guy, that I’m rich and I’m 50 years old and I’m like, ‘Damn, I wish I would’ve done that when I was younger.’ No. I did it now and I’ll do it again.”
According to The Express, Gonzalez previously worked at Dunkin’ Donuts before pivoting to day trading, a move the outlet says has funded a lifestyle of luxury and glamor.
Times Now News confirmed that Gonzalez was charged with trespassing and field intrusion following Sunday’s incident. He also faces potential fines of up to $100,000, along with a lifetime ban from all NFL stadiums.
Despite briefly showing more hustle than the defense during the on-field chaos, the Patriots ultimately couldn’t overcome the Seahawks, falling short in the Super Bowl by 16 points.
