WATCH: Trump Shares U.S. Airstrike Video On Houthis, Vows ‘24-7’ Offensive

President Donald Trump posted a dramatic video on Truth Social, claiming it showed a deadly U.S. strike on Houthi militants in Yemen, shortly before the Pentagon confirmed ongoing “continuous operations 24/7” against the Iran-backed group.

The clip Trump shared appears to align with reports of U.S. air raids earlier in the day on the northern Yemeni city of Saada. According to Houthi sources, the attacks killed two people and left nine wounded. However, the video Trump posted reportedly depicts a large crowd moments before a major blast, The Washington Times noted.

“These Houthis gathered for instructions on an attack. Oops, there will be no attack by these Houthis!” Trump wrote. “They will never sink our ships again!”

Though the Houthis have launched numerous assaults, none have succeeded in sinking an American ship. U.S. vessels have, however, frequently been targeted by missiles and drones over recent years.

U.S. Central Command later released its own footage—not the same as Trump’s—featuring strikes launched from the Harry S. Truman carrier group. CENTCOM stated the force is now “launching continuous operations 24/7 against Iran-backed Houthis.”

Recent weeks have seen a surge in U.S. air activity under Trump’s command. Officials report over 200 strikes on Houthi positions since March 15, though specifics remain mostly undisclosed, according to the Times.

These operations are part of a broader U.S. effort to push back against Iranian influence in the region while simultaneously negotiating terms over Iran’s accelerating nuclear program.

Alongside America’s campaign, Israeli forces have also been targeting Iran-supported factions like Hamas and Hezbollah. Together, these actions form a unified strategy to counter Tehran’s regional proxies.

To reinforce its presence, the Pentagon has bolstered its military footprint in the area. Defense officials revealed that the Carl Vinson Carrier Strike Group will soon join the Truman group in the Middle East. Satellite images obtained by The Associated Press also indicate that six B-2 Spirit stealth bombers—capable of carrying nuclear payloads—have arrived at the U.S. base on Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean.

Since November 2023, the Houthis have attacked over 100 vessels, including American military ships, using both drones and missiles. The Trump administration has issued strong warnings to Iran, cautioning that continued support for the Houthis could provoke direct U.S. military retaliation. The group remains a key player in Iran’s broader “axis of resistance” across the region.

Last month, Trump ordered sweeping airstrikes against Houthi infrastructure in Yemen and sent a pointed message to Tehran.

“Today, I have ordered the United States Military to launch decisive and powerful Military action against the Houthi terrorists in Yemen,” Trump declared. “They have waged an unrelenting campaign of piracy, violence, and terrorism against American, and other, ships, aircraft, and drones.”

He went on to criticize President Biden’s prior handling of the crisis:

“Joe Biden’s response was pathetically weak, so the unrestrained Houthis just kept going. It has been over a year since a U.S. flagged commercial ship safely sailed through the Suez Canal, the Red Sea, or the Gulf of Aden,” Trump stated. “The last American Warship to go through the Red Sea, four months ago, was attacked by the Houthis over a dozen times. Funded by Iran, the Houthi thugs have fired missiles at U.S. aircraft, and targeted our Troops and Allies. These relentless assaults have cost the U.S. and World Economy many BILLIONS of Dollars while, at the same time, putting innocent lives at risk.”

He concluded with a stark warning:

“The Houthi attack on American vessels will not be tolerated. We will use overwhelming lethal force until we have achieved our objective. The Houthis have choked off shipping in one of the most important Waterways of the World, grinding vast swaths of Global Commerce to a halt, and attacking the core principle of Freedom of Navigation upon which International Trade and Commerce depends.”
