‘We’re Going In’: President Trump Vows to Send National Guard to Chicago Amid Spiraling Violence
President Donald J. Trump announced Tuesday that he intends to deploy the National Guard to Chicago to restore order in a city plagued by violent crime under Democrat leadership.
Speaking from the White House, the President confirmed his plan but did not specify an exact timeline.
“Well, we’re going. I didn’t say when. We’re going in,” Trump told reporters during his remarks at the White House.

The announcement came on the heels of a bloody Labor Day weekend in Chicago, where at least 58 people were shot and eight killed, according to ABC News. One drive-by shooting alone left seven people wounded, police confirmed.
For years, President Trump has criticized Democratic officials in Illinois for their inability—or unwillingness—to confront the city’s crime crisis. On Truth Social, he pulled no punches.
“Chicago is the worst and most dangerous city in the World, by far,” Trump wrote Tuesday. “Pritzker needs help badly, he just doesn’t know it yet. I will solve the crime problem fast, just like I did in DC. Chicago will be safe again, and soon.”

CHICAGO IS THE MURDER CAPITAL OF THE WORLD!
He later doubled down, declaring in all caps:

Illinois’ Democratic Governor J.B. Pritzker quickly fired back, lashing out at the President in an interview with NBC’s WMAQ-TV. Pritzker claimed he had been informed that ICE officials would soon be increasing operations in the city.
“Donald Trump obviously has Chicago on his mind seemingly every day now. And they are clearly going to send ICE officials and officers to the neighborhoods,” Pritzker said.

“[They said] they will begin operations here sometime in the coming week,” he added.
A Stark Contrast in Leadership
Chicago’s surge in violence underscores the deep failures of Democrat governance in America’s cities. While President Trump moves decisively to restore order, progressive leaders like Pritzker remain more concerned with partisan attacks than protecting their citizens.
The choice for residents is becoming clear: lawlessness under left-wing leadership, or safety under a President committed to law and order.
