AOC Smacked Down By Fellow Democrat Fetterman On Impeaching Trump
Efforts by far-left Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and her “Squad” allies to launch a third impeachment of President Donald J. Trump collapsed on Monday, after even Democrat Senator John Fetterman dismissed the idea as political theater and “not helpful.”
Fetterman, who publicly backed Trump’s precision strike on Iranian nuclear facilities over the weekend, delivered a blunt reality check to his party’s radical flank.
“Of course, no [he should not be impeached],” Fetterman told Fox News.
“She knows it. I know it. We all know it… that is not going anywhere.”

“I think if you throw that term around, that actually diminishes the severity of what impeachment is really reserved for.”
The dramatic airstrikes, which targeted three Iranian nuclear enrichment sites using 14 bunker-busting bombs, were hailed by national security experts as a decisive preemptive move to stop Iran’s nuclear ambitions and protect both U.S. forces and Israeli allies.
But for AOC, it was just another opportunity to weaponize the Constitution for partisan attacks.
“The President’s disastrous decision to bomb Iran without authorization is a grave violation of the Constitution and Congressional War Powers,” the New York congresswoman raged online Sunday, shortly after the strikes.
While AOC and a handful of fellow leftists like Rep. Sean Casten (D-IL) echoed calls for impeachment, even they admitted it was a lost cause.
“I am not saying we have the votes to impeach,” Casten posted. “I am saying that you DO NOT do this without Congressional approval.”
Others in the Democrat Party, like House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, resorted to the usual anti-Trump talking points, accusing the president of risking “American entanglement” in the Middle East and blaming him for “any adverse consequences” of the operation.
But none of these critics could point to a single legal violation.
Meanwhile, Vice President J.D. Vance defended the Commander-in-Chief’s authority, reminding Americans that Trump acted lawfully to prevent Iranian escalation.
“The president has clear authority to act to prevent the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction,” Vance told Meet the Press.
“The idea that this was outside of presidential authority… any real serious legal person would tell you that is not true.”
Rep. Mike Lawler (R-NY) highlighted the blatant hypocrisy of the left, noting that Barack Obama launched unilateral strikes in Libya, Syria, Yemen, and Pakistan—without a peep from AOC and company.
“It is absolutely absurd. Barack Obama attacked Libya, Syria, Pakistan, Yemen during his tenure and never once did they call for impeachment,” Lawler said on Fox & Friends.
“These folks are truly reaching new levels of Trump derangement.”
House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) issued a firm statement of support for Trump’s decision:
“The President made the right call and did what he needed to do. Leaders in Congress were aware of the urgency of this situation…
The world’s largest state sponsor of terrorism, which chants ‘Death to America,’ simply could not be allowed the opportunity to obtain and use nuclear weapons.”

With Trump continuing to lead boldly on the world stage and reclaim control of U.S. foreign policy, Democrats are left flailing—reduced to empty impeachment threats and bitter press statements.
