Ashley Biden Hit With Nasty News After Devastating Investigation

Rumors began circulating in December that the Archewell Foundation, founded by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, had donated $250,000 to Women’s Wellness (Spa)ce, a wellness center for women in Philadelphia established by Ashley Biden, the daughter of President Joe Biden.

Now, a government watchdog group has filed a complaint with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), alleging that the foundation failed to properly disclose the 2023 donation. The contribution was made while Joe Biden was still serving as president.

The National Legal and Policy Center (NLPC), a conservative watchdog organization, has accused the Philadelphia-based institution—which promotes itself as a “trauma-informed wellness center”—of failing to meet financial reporting requirements.

The NLPC’s complaint to the IRS claims that Ashley Biden’s nonprofit did not report the $250,000 donation from Archewell in its tax filings for 2023.

Paul Kamenar, legal counsel for the NLPC, described the omission as a “clear violation” and questioned whether Ashley Biden truly worked a 40-hour week at $12.75 per hour, as reported. He urged the IRS to investigate potential penalties.

Kamenar noted that “the large contribution raised eyebrows because of the political implications of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s attempts to ingratiate themselves with President Biden and his family.”

The NLPC’s complaint asserts that “a full audit of Ashley Biden’s group is warranted to determine where the $250,000 cash grant was deposited and its disposition.”

Speaking with the Daily Mail, Kamenar admitted he had “no idea” why the donation was missing from public records. He labeled the situation as a “red flag” that required further examination, while also acknowledging the possibility of an “innocent” accounting error.

The complaint also highlights inconsistencies in Women’s Wellness (Spa)ce’s records, pointing out that the organization reported having eight board members but listed only seven.

Financial records indicate that Ashley Biden reportedly worked 40 hours per week but earned only $11,250 between July and the end of the year. In Philadelphia, entry-level fast food jobs offer comparable wages, amounting to approximately $12.75 per hour, or $511 per week.

The complaint further states: “While Ms. Biden’s pay is low for her educational and work experience, we believe that her reported 40-hour work week may have been exaggerated because she was engaged in politically related and other activities, including foreign travel with her mother (Jill Biden).” This raises doubts about the accuracy of her reported workload.

Ashley Biden, the daughter of President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden, was born in 1981. She previously worked for Delaware’s child services system for 15 years before becoming the executive director of the Delaware Center for Justice, where she focused on criminal justice reform. In addition to being a social worker and activist, she has also pursued a career in fashion design.

PEOPLE obtained an Impact Report detailing her initiative: “Drawing from her experience with the criminal justice system, Biden’s initiative is inspired by her work with Mural Arts’ Women’s Reentry Program, providing support and opportunities for formerly incarcerated women. The center aims to offer a safe haven and community for women impacted by trauma, providing resources such as nutritious food, exercise, meditation, and therapeutic interventions.”

Founded by Ashley Biden in 2023, the wellness center reported revenue of $170,296 that year, indicating that the Archewell donation made up a significant portion of its budget.

Kamenar also voiced concerns regarding “the political implications” of Harry and Meghan’s financial support.

Neither Archewell nor Women’s Wellness (Spa)ce have responded to requests for comment. IRS filings, however, are made under penalty of perjury.
