Ashley Biden’s Nonprofit Referred To IRS Over $250,000 Donation From Prince Harry, Meghan Markle

A new report has revealed that another member of former President Joe Biden’s family is facing trouble with the IRS.
According to an exclusive report from The Daily Mail on Friday, Ashley Biden’s nonprofit organization has been referred to the IRS by a federal watchdog after allegedly failing to disclose a $250,000 donation from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
Her nonprofit, Women’s Wellness Spa(ce), received the donation in 2023 while her father was still serving as president.
The organization, which describes itself as a “trauma-informed wellness center,” has come under scrutiny by the National Legal and Policy Center (NLPC), which claims the nonprofit is in “clear violation” of financial disclosure requirements.
“Ms. Biden failed to report the receipt of a grant of $250,000 made in 2023 by the Archewell Foundation, founded by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. In addition, there are other reporting violations by Ms. Biden, including failing to identify all of the Board of Directors of her nonprofit,” the complaint stated.
The watchdog group raised concerns about the donation, stating, “This large contribution raised eyebrows because of the political implications of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s attempt to ingratiate themselves with President Biden and his family.” The complaint further alleged that “the $250,000 cash grant made in 2023 was not reported on Ashley Biden’s group’s 2023 Form 990, which only reported receiving a total of $170,296 that year.” As a result, the NLPC is calling for “a full audit of Ashley Biden’s group” to determine where the funds were allocated.
The complaint also questioned the reported hours and compensation of Ashley Biden. “NLPC notes that Ms. Biden reports that she works 40 hours a week on average for the group but got paid only $11,250 during the reporting period from July 18, 2023, to December 31, 2023, which is 22 weeks,” it said. This amounts to “approximately $511 per week.” The complaint argued that “her reported 40-hour workweek may be exaggerated,” citing her involvement in other activities, including political engagements and travel with her mother.
“The IRS must conduct a full investigation and audit of Women’s Wellness Spa(ce), including deposing Ashley Biden, to find out what happened to the $250,000 given to Ms. Biden’s group from the Archewell Foundation and to assess appropriate civil and criminal penalties because Ms. Biden submitted and signed the Form 990 under penalty of perjury,” the NLPC asserted.
Ashley Biden has made headlines in recent years, particularly regarding a diary that was stolen from her.
In April 2024, a Florida woman was sentenced to one month in prison for stealing and selling the diary of the president’s daughter to a conservative organization.
As reported by Fox News, Aimee Harris received her sentence in a Manhattan federal courtroom, where the judge also imposed an additional three months of home confinement.
“I do not believe I am above the law,” Harris stated in court, responding to a prosecutor’s request for a prison sentence after she missed several scheduled sentencing dates, citing her responsibilities as a mother to two young children.
“I’m a survivor of long-term domestic abuse and sexual trauma,” Harris added.
Harris pleaded guilty to a conspiracy charge in August 2022, acknowledging that she had received $20,000 of the $40,000 that Project Veritas paid for Ashley Biden’s personal belongings.
Project Veritas is known for using undercover recordings to expose and embarrass various news organizations, labor unions, and Democratic politicians.
During the trial, Harris became emotional, apologizing for sharing Ashley Biden’s personal journal without permission. She admitted to taking the diary from a home in Delray Beach, Florida, where Biden had temporarily left her belongings in 2020.
Along with the diary, Harris also took a digital storage device, books, clothing, and luggage—essentially, “everything she could get her hands on” in an effort to profit, according to Assistant U.S. Attorney Robert Sobelman.
“She wanted to damage Ms. Biden’s father,” Sobelman stated.
U.S. District Judge Laura Taylor Swain, a Clinton appointee, strongly condemned Harris’s actions, calling them “despicable and serious.” The judge accused her of exploiting the president’s daughter for financial gain in an effort to influence the 2020 presidential election.
