Bill O’Reilly Shares Health Update From New York Medical Facility

Veteran broadcaster Bill O’Reilly reassured supporters this week that he is recovering after a brief medical setback that sidelined his regular programming.

In a Friday update posted on his website, O’Reilly said he was “okay and recovering from stomach stuff,” after previously revealing earlier in the week that he was dealing with an unspecified illness. The health issue forced him to miss a scheduled appearance on NewsNation’s CUOMO on Tuesday and temporarily pause production of his nightly No Spin News broadcast.

O’Reilly, who is currently receiving care at a medical facility in New York City, expressed appreciation for the outpouring of support he has received and indicated he is already preparing to return to the air.

“Amazing good wishes have arrived here in New York City, and it’s hard to describe my gratitude. I am planning a jail break out of the medical facility where there are more than a few Concierge Members,” O’Reilly wrote. “That’s major. If USA Today finds me, I’m toast. Working on the first broadcast back because there’s nothing else to do here except watch hysterical local TV news coverage about snow generated by global warming.”

He added that viewers can expect another update on his condition on Sunday.

O’Reilly currently hosts No Spin News on weeknights and is a frequent contributor on NewsNation. He remains widely recognized for his long tenure at Fox News, where he anchored The O’Reilly Factor, one of the most influential cable news programs of its era, according to Britannica.

Fox News parted ways with O’Reilly in April 2017 following a wave of sexual harassment allegations — claims O’Reilly has consistently denied. At the time, he pushed back forcefully against the accusations.

“It is tremendously disheartening that we part ways due to completely unfounded claims,” O’Reilly wrote in a statement after the firing. “But that is the unfortunate reality many of us in the public eye must live with today.”

Now 76, O’Reilly has remained active in conservative media and maintains a long-standing relationship with President Donald J. Trump, the current President of the United States. The two were seen together publicly at a New York Yankees game on September 11, 2025, underscoring O’Reilly’s continued presence within America’s conservative political and media circles.
