Border Czar Homan Rocks DC Swamp After Dem Arrests
Over the weekend, Tom Homan, former Director of ICE and border czar under President Donald Trump, responded to the recent arrests of two judges accused of helping illegal immigrants evade law enforcement. Homan emphasized that the arrests should come as no shock to anyone.
His comments came in light of charges filed against Democratic-affiliated judges in Wisconsin and New Mexico.
In Wisconsin, Judge Hannah Dugan, 65, of Milwaukee County, was arrested Friday and faces two criminal charges for allegedly helping an undocumented immigrant avoid apprehension.

According to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, “Specifically, the complaint says Dugan assisted Eduardo Flores-Ruiz, an undocumented Mexican immigrant, avoid being arrested by federal immigration officials at the Milwaukee County Courthouse after he appeared in her courtroom for a pretrial conference on April 18. Flores-Ruiz is facing three misdemeanor battery counts.”
The report continues: “Two federal agents eventually chased Flores-Ruiz down outside the courthouse and apprehended him at West State Street and North 10th Street downtown, according to the complaint.”
FBI Director Kash Patel publicly commented on the arrest, saying on social media, “Just NOW, the FBI arrested Judge Hannah Dugan out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin on charges of obstruction — after evidence of Judge Dugan obstructing an immigration arrest operation last week.”
“We believe Judge Dugan intentionally misdirected federal agents away from the subject to be arrested in her courthouse, Eduardo Flores Ruiz, allowing the subject — an illegal alien — to evade arrest,” Patel stated.
In a separate incident, former New Mexico Judge Joel Cano and his spouse were taken into custody for allegedly harboring an undocumented immigrant believed to be associated with the Venezuelan criminal syndicate Tren de Aragua, which the Trump administration has designated a terrorist group alongside MS-13.
Investigators also claim the Canos supplied the individual with firearms. Authorities reportedly found photographic evidence in their possession suggesting weapons were provided.
Tom Homan addressed the situation on X (formerly Twitter), underscoring that legal professionals are not above the law.
“Nobody should be surprised by the arrest of two judges. I have said many times within the past few months, that people can choose to support illegal immigration and not assist ICE in removing criminal illegal aliens from our communities, BUT DON’T CROSS THAT LINE,” Homan wrote.
“If you actively impede our enforcement efforts or if you knowingly harbor or conceal illegal aliens from ICE you will be prosecuted. These actions are felonies. More to come…” he added.
Attorney General Pam Bondi also weighed in during a Fox News interview, describing Judge Dugan’s alleged behavior during the incident.
“The judge screams at the immigration officers. She’s furious. Visibly shaken. Upset. Sends them off to talk to the chief judge,” Bondi said.
“She comes back in the courtroom — you’re not going to believe this — takes the defendant and the defense attorney back in her chambers. Takes them out a private exit and tells them to leave, while a state prosecutor and victims of domestic violence are sitting in the courtroom,” she added. “Can’t make this up.”
In recent years, multiple federal judges—many appointed by Democratic presidents—have issued rulings that blocked or delayed Trump administration immigration enforcement. Many of those decisions remain tied up in the appeals process, including pending cases before the U.S. Supreme Court.
