Dems Caught In Devastating New Scandal After Colorado Terror Attack
A disturbing act of anti-Semitic violence that took place in Boulder, Colorado, is now shining a harsh light on President Joe Biden’s disastrous immigration policies. The man accused of attacking a peaceful Jewish rally over the weekend is an illegal immigrant—an Egyptian national who entered the United States under the Biden administration and was allowed to stay well beyond his authorized visa period.
The suspect, 45-year-old Mohamed Sabry Soliman, reportedly launched his assault on elderly participants in a “Run for Their Lives” event—an awareness walk aimed at demanding the release of Israeli hostages held in Gaza. Witnesses say Soliman used a “makeshift flamethrower” and a Molotov cocktail to terrorize attendees, some of whom were in their eighties.
As he committed the attack, Soliman is reported to have shouted “Free Palestine!”—echoing the same radical rhetoric spewed by the alleged perpetrator of last month’s brutal assault on Israeli embassy staff in Washington, D.C.

View PlansAccording to federal law enforcement, the attack is being treated as “ideologically motivated violence.”
In total, eight individuals were injured, with victims ranging in age from 52 to 88. The horrific nature of the assault, paired with the suspect’s immigration status, has ignited serious concern among voters—especially those who supported President Donald J. Trump and his America First border policies.
Fox News correspondent Bill Melugin broke down the alarming timeline on social media: “The Boulder terror suspect is an Egyptian national in the U.S. illegally as a visa overstay who entered the U.S. during the Biden administration.” Melugin added, “I’m told Mohamed Sabry Soliman arrived at [Los Angeles International Airport] on 8/27/22 on a B1/B2 nonimmigrant visa with an authorized stay through 2/26/23, but he overstayed and never left. I’m told on 9/29/22, he filed some sort of claim with USCIS, potentially an asylum claim, and on 3/29/23, USCIS under the Biden admin gave him work authorization, which expired on 3/28/25.”
The decision to issue Soliman a work permit, despite his illegal status, has drawn sharp condemnation from Republican leaders.
White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller issued a blistering rebuke of the administration’s handling of the case: “A terror attack was committed in Boulder, Colorado by an illegal alien. He was granted a tourist visa by the Biden Administration and then illegally overstayed that visa. In response, the Biden Administration gave him a work permit.”
This revelation is particularly damning for the Biden White House, given the location of the attack. Boulder, one of 14 sanctuary jurisdictions in Colorado listed by the Department of Justice, has long prided itself on non-cooperation with federal immigration enforcement.
Following President Trump’s election in 2016, Boulder adopted a sanctuary resolution that stated the city would not inquire into anyone’s immigration status, nor would it use city resources to aid federal immigration investigations or detentions.
The city’s resolution emphasized “inclusivity” and protecting “undocumented persons,” and it placed sweeping restrictions on city employees’ ability to engage in immigration enforcement.
Now, as Boulder officials scramble to coordinate with federal investigators in the wake of this anti-Semitic terrorist act, critics are asking whether the city’s open-door policies—and the Biden administration’s lax immigration oversight—paved the way for this tragedy.
Boulder Mayor Aaron Brockett condemned the attack, stating: “I am saddened and outraged at the appalling attack on members of Boulder’s Jewish community that happened today during a peaceful gathering on Pearl Street… Boulder will stand strong together.”

View PlansBut for many, the damage is already done. As Democrats brace for a reckoning in the 2026 midterms, this horrifying event may serve as a stark reminder of what’s at stake when the federal government abandons its duty to secure the border and enforce immigration law.
President Donald J. Trump made immigration enforcement a pillar of his first administration, and it remains a cornerstone of his second-term agenda. As the nation watches the consequences of the Biden administration’s reckless immigration policies play out in real-time, more Americans are likely to rally behind the GOP’s national security-first approach.
