Dems Set to Pull Absurd Epstein-Related Stunts During Trump’s SOTU

As President Donald J. Trump prepares to deliver his 2026 State of the Union address, several House Democrats are attempting to turn the annual constitutional event into a political spectacle — announcing plans to bring guests tied to the Jeffrey Epstein files controversy and recent immigration enforcement operations.

California Democratic Reps. Ro Khanna and Robert Garcia confirmed they will attend the address accompanied by women who have publicly identified themselves as survivors of abuse connected to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Khanna said he will bring Haley Robson, who has spoken openly about her experience, while Garcia will attend with Annie Farmer, another survivor who has pushed for broader public disclosure of federal investigative records.

The guest announcements come amid renewed political wrangling over the release of documents under the Epstein Files Transparency Act — legislation Congress passed and President Trump signed into law last year. Since then, approximately 3.5 million pages tied to multiple Epstein investigations have been made public, a move long promised by Trump during his campaign. Notably, Democrats showed little appetite for such disclosures during the Biden administration.

Other Democrats are using the guest list to spotlight immigration enforcement actions. According to the Daily Caller, some lawmakers plan to bring individuals allegedly detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) during protests and unrest in Minnesota following the death of Renee Nicole Good.

Minnesota Democrat Rep. Ilhan Omar announced she will bring four guests to Tuesday night’s address: Aliya Rahman, Mary Granlund, Mubashir Hussen and Gerardo Orozco Guzman. Omar claims three of them were detained by ICE in Minnesota, including Rahman, who appeared in a viral video showing federal agents removing her from her vehicle.

“The stories of these four Minnesotans reflect how ICE’s reckless actions in Minnesota through ‘Operation Metro Surge’ have devastated Minnesotans’ safety and economic security,” Omar’s press release stated.

Democrats insist their guest selections are intended to highlight transparency concerns and what they describe as accountability issues within the Justice Department. In September, Robson stood outside the U.S. Capitol alongside Khanna and Kentucky Republican Rep. Thomas Massie, urging full release of the Epstein files.

“Haley’s courageous fight is proof that this isn’t about politics, it’s about exposing America’s two-tiered system of justice and bringing accountability to the Epstein class involved in the horrific abuse of young girls,” Khanna said in a statement. “She and her fellow survivors’ bravery was the catalyst for changing a rotten system and finally standing up for humanity and American values.”

Virginia Democrat Rep. James Walkinshaw announced he plans to bring Jess Michaels, who alleged that Epstein sexually abused her in 1991 when she was 22 years old. Meanwhile, Reps. Suhas Subramanyan and Jamie Raskin said they will invite family members of the late Virginia Giuffre, one of Epstein’s most prominent accusers, who tragically died by suicide in 2025.

While Democrats prepare to use the guest list to amplify their criticisms, Republican leaders are highlighting a different set of priorities — inviting Olympic athletes and families of fallen law enforcement officers, underscoring themes of patriotism, public safety, and national unity.

The political maneuvering sets the stage for a high-profile evening as President Trump addresses a joint session of Congress. The White House has indicated the president will focus on economic growth, border security, national sovereignty, and restoring law and order — core pillars of his second-term agenda.

The contrast could not be clearer: Democrats leaning into protest politics and grievance narratives, while President Trump is expected to lay out a forward-looking vision centered on American strength, accountability, and the rule of law.
