Dems Urge Obama To Run Out The Clock As Trump Officials Expose 2016 Election Scheme
President Donald J. Trump’s administration is turning up the heat on the Obama-era political machine—releasing documents that allegedly show the 44th president’s team attempted to rig the 2016 election. But rather than respond directly, Democrats are begging Barack Obama to keep his head down and stay out of the fight.
According to WJBF, Democratic insiders believe Obama should avoid any direct confrontation with Trump, particularly while Republicans debate the explosive Epstein files and the Left continues its own offensive strategy.
“No matter how much Trump and Fox are trying to drag it up, the base is still tearing them apart on the Epstein documents, so no need to interrupt them punching themselves in the face,” claimed Democratic strategist Eddie Vale—an apparent admission that Democrats view Trump’s calls for transparency on Epstein as a vulnerability, despite overwhelming public support for disclosure.

View PlansWednesday’s White House briefing included remarks from Trump’s Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, who released internal documents reportedly proving the Obama administration fabricated the 2016 “Russia interference” narrative to damage Trump’s first campaign.
Trump responded in kind.
“Look, he’s guilty. It’s not a question,” Trump told reporters from the Oval Office. “You know, I like to say, ‘Let’s give it time.’ It’s there. He’s guilty. This was treason, this was every word you can think of.”
Democrats, meanwhile, are circling the wagons and urging Obama to ride out Trump’s second term by laying low.
“I think his approach was fine,” said one Democratic strategist who once worked for Obama. “Clearly lay out the inconsistencies, redirect people to what Trump is trying to distract from. Trying to counter-message Donald Trump is like trying to follow a drunk driver home. The only way is to just survive.”
In other words, the strategy is clear: avoid accountability, deflect from the document releases, and hope the clock runs out on the Trump administration’s sweeping investigations.
Despite the pressure, Obama broke his silence this week, offering a rare public statement as allegations of treason and election interference mount.
“Out of respect for the office of the presidency, our office does not normally dignify the constant nonsense and misinformation flowing out of this White House with a response,” Obama said. “But these claims are outrageous enough to merit one. These bizarre allegations are ridiculous and a weak attempt at distraction. Nothing in the document issued last week undercuts the widely accepted conclusion that Russia worked to influence the 2016 presidential election but did not successfully manipulate any votes. These findings were affirmed in a 2020 report by the bipartisan Senate Intelligence Committee, led by then-Chairman Marco Rubio.”
Critics quickly noted the passive-aggressive swipe at Rubio, now serving as President Trump’s Secretary of State, as an attempt to sow discord within the administration.
Still, Obama’s allies insist their real target is not the truth—but the narrative.
“They’re not letting Trump pretend this is about anything other than distracting people from his Epstein files broken promise and trying to shore up tanking approval ratings,” claimed David Litt, a former Obama speechwriter.
Vale added, “Epstein is the kryptonite to Trump’s superpower of distraction.”

View PlansBut the Trump administration sees it differently: Democrats are terrified. The documents released by Gabbard and others may offer the strongest evidence yet of a coordinated, top-down effort by the Obama administration to weaponize U.S. intelligence and influence the outcome of a presidential election.
And with more revelations on the way, Democrats may soon find that silence won't be enough to shield their former leader from justice.
