Epstein’s Former Lawyer Names Prominent Democrats in Sealed Records — Calls for Full Disclosure Amid Trump Push for Transparency
Alan Dershowitz, a former member of Jeffrey Epstein’s legal defense team and longtime Harvard Law professor, has confirmed that several high-profile Democratic figures are named in sealed files related to the Epstein investigation.
In an interview Sunday on Fox News Sunday with Shannon Bream, Dershowitz explained that although there was no official “client list,” there are alternative ways to uncover who was involved with Epstein.
“I think the judge should release it, but they’re not in the grand jury transcripts. There are sealed records by two or three federal judges in the New York courts. I’ve seen some of these materials,” Dershowitz said.
He specifically named former Senate Majority Leader George Mitchell and former U.N. Ambassador and New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson, both Democrats, as individuals who were accused by victims, according to redacted FBI reports.
“George Mitchell, the former senator [from Maine]; Bill Richardson, the former ambassador to the UN; [former Israeli Prime Minister] Ehud Barak … were all accused. Now, whether any of these people actually did anything wrong, we don’t know, because we know there have been many, many false accusations,” he stated.
Richardson passed away in 2023, and Mitchell retired from public life in 2011.
Dershowitz himself has faced accusations from Virginia Giuffre, one of Epstein’s most vocal accusers. She alleged in 2019 that Dershowitz was involved in Epstein’s trafficking operation — a claim she later dropped in 2022, admitting she "may have made a mistake."
He also pointed to another widely discredited affidavit filed by Sarah Ransome that accused high-profile individuals — including Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump, and Richard Branson — of involvement in underage sex acts. Ransome later admitted she fabricated the entire story in an attempt to protect herself from Epstein.
“In the fall of 2016, she had suggested to the New York Post that she had sex tapes of half a dozen prominent people, including Bill Clinton and [President] Donald Trump — but couldn’t provide the tapes when asked,” reported NBC News. “[Ransome said] that she had invented the tapes to draw attention to Epstein’s behavior, and to make him believe that she had ‘evidence that would come out if he harmed me.’”
Despite these fabrications, Dershowitz warned of the dangers of false equivalency: “We have to distinguish true accusations from false accusations.”
President Donald J. Trump has taken a firm stance, calling for full transparency.
On Saturday, he wrote on Truth Social:
“I have asked the Justice Department to release all Grand Jury testimony with respect to Jeffrey Epstein, subject only to Court Approval. With that being said, and even if the Court gave its full and unwavering approval, nothing will be good enough for the troublemakers and radical left lunatics making the request. It will always be more, more, more. MAGA!”

I have asked the Justice Department to release all Grand Jury testimony with respect to Jeffrey Epstein, subject only to Court Approval. With that being said, and even if the Court gave its full and unwavering approval, nothing…
Dershowitz supported Trump’s call, noting that grand jury materials alone would be limited in scope:
“The grand jury information is narrowly tailored by prosecutors only to provide sufficient evidence to result in an indictment.”
He emphasized that broader sealed records — especially those from the Ghislaine Maxwell case — would be far more revealing. Maxwell, Epstein’s longtime associate, was sentenced to 20 years in federal prison in 2022 for her role in trafficking minors.
“She knows everything. She is the Rosetta Stone … She arranged every single trip with everybody,” Dershowitz claimed.
He went a step further, calling for Congress to summon Maxwell to testify and grant her immunity in exchange for her full cooperation.
President Trump echoed this demand last week, encouraging Attorney General Pam Bondi to release all legally permissible information held by the DOJ.
TRUMP: RELEASE CREDIBLE INFORMATION

As momentum builds, conservatives continue pressing for full disclosure — not just grand jury records, but the entire network of files, affidavits, and sealed depositions that could finally bring the truth to light.
