Harris Reaches Out To Biden But It Doesn’t Go As Expected
Former Vice President Kamala Harris revealed Sunday that she reached out to former President Joe Biden after learning he had begun radiation therapy for prostate cancer — but her call went unanswered.
During an interview with MSNBC’s Eugene Daniels, Harris said she “called him earlier,” but when asked how Biden was doing, admitted she hadn’t spoken to him directly.
“I have not talked to him. I just left him a message,” she said.

Biden, 82, was recently confirmed to be undergoing radiation and hormone therapy as part of his treatment plan for an aggressive form of prostate cancer that doctors say has spread to his bones. The five-week treatment marks a new stage in his ongoing battle with the disease, according to NBC News.
Earlier this year, Biden also underwent Mohs surgery to remove skin cancer from his forehead. At the time, his physician said “all cancerous tissue was successfully removed” and that no further treatment was needed.
Biden first announced his cancer diagnosis in May, telling supporters that he and his wife Jill were “strongest in the broken places.”
“Cancer touches us all,” he wrote on X. “Thank you for lifting us up with love and support.”
Medical experts told NBC that prostate cancer at Biden’s stage typically develops over many years, raising questions about whether it was detected during his final White House physical. Men in their 80s are rarely screened for prostate cancer under current guidelines.
Biden, who left office in January after suspending his re-election campaign and endorsing Kamala Harris, is reportedly “doing well,” according to those familiar with his treatment.
Harris, meanwhile, continues her nationwide book tour to promote 107 Days, where she again repeated the false claim that the 2024 election was “the closest” of the 21st century.
“It was the tightest, closest presidential election in the 21st century,” Harris told an audience in Houston, before shouting that President Donald Trump “does not have a mandate.”
“That is not a mandate! That is not a mandate!” she said as the crowd cheered.
