Baier Praises Trump As Final Living Hostages Released Amid Israel-Palestine Deal
Fox News anchor Bret Baier offered glowing praise for President Donald J. Trump on Monday, calling his newly brokered Israel–Palestine peace agreement a “truly historic moment” that will be remembered for generations.
During a live segment on America’s Newsroom with Martha MacCallum and senior correspondent Benjamin Hall, Baier analyzed the release of Israeli hostages from Gaza and highlighted the global significance of President Trump’s diplomacy.
“A really historic moment… I think that you are going to look back and that speech at the Knesset is going to be one of the speeches that President Trump is remembered for,” Baier said.

Quoting the President’s address before the Israeli parliament, Baier noted:
“Trump said, ‘This day generations from now. This will be remembered as the moment everything began to change.’ And that is the real hope here. It was interesting how well he was received. He is now hero status in Israel.”
President Trump told reporters following the speech that the unprecedented unity between Israel and neighboring Muslim nations marked a new era of peace in the Middle East.
“This is a very special event. They had 500,000 people yesterday and today in Israel — and also the Muslim and Arab countries are all cheering. Everybody is cheering at one time. That’s never happened before,” Trump said. “Usually, if you have one cheering, the other isn’t. This is the first time.”
The breakthrough agreement, brokered by the Trump administration, formally ended the two-year war between Israel and Hamas, freeing the last remaining hostages held in Gaza.
Just two years ago, Hamas terrorists launched a brutal attack on southern Israel, killing 1,200 people and taking hundreds hostage. On Monday, Hamas released the final 20 hostages as part of the peace plan — which also saw Israel free 2,000 Palestinian prisoners.
The 20-point peace framework, negotiated under Trump’s leadership, aims to permanently end hostilities and rebuild Gaza through international cooperation and investment.
Under the agreement:
- Israel has halted all military operations and withdrawn to agreed boundaries;
- Hamas fighters who renounce violence are granted amnesty or safe passage, while those who resist will be barred from future governance;
- Gaza’s administration will be temporarily overseen by a technical Palestinian council under the supervision of an international “Board of Peace” chaired by President Trump, former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, and other world leaders.
This transitional body will manage reconstruction, establish secure infrastructure, and prepare Gaza for eventual self-governance under the Palestinian Authority.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu hailed President Trump as the “greatest friend Israel has ever had.”
“He stood up for Israel at the United Nations, recognized our rights in Judea and Samaria, and withdrew from the disastrous Iran deal,” Netanyahu said.
President Trump’s economic initiative — dubbed the “Gaza Miracle Plan” — will establish a special economic zone to attract investment, boost trade, and transform Gaza into a hub of prosperity. Humanitarian organizations, including the UN and Red Crescent, will monitor aid and reconstruction efforts to ensure accountability and transparency.
As Fox News’ Baier summed up, President Trump’s diplomacy has achieved something no administration has before — peace in a region long thought ungovernable.
“You’re seeing celebrations in both Israel and across Arab nations,” Baier said. “That alone tells you how significant this moment really is.”
