Hillary Clinton Blocked Comments on Her Disgusting Memorial Day Post, But Even That Didn't Save Her

It used to be a liberal tradition to hijack Thanksgiving dinners with talking points aimed at bashing then-President Donald Trump and the millions of Americans who support him. Now, that political overreach isn’t confined to one holiday — it’s spreading to solemn national observances like Memorial Day.

You might remember when MSNBC’s Joy Reid, in 2019, offered a condescending Thanksgiving guide for leftists on how to dumb down impeachment arguments for their supposedly less enlightened MAGA relatives — “Uncle Roscoe and Auntie Carol,” as she called them.

“Here’s a hint: Do not worry about trying to explain the cast of characters … or the very overused term, ‘quid pro quo,’” Reid said on her now-defunct show. “Most people can’t say it, spell it or understand it.”
“What we’re actually talking about here is not a pithy Latin phrase. It’s something a lot simpler — bribery and extortion … Even Uncle Roscoe and Auntie Carol ought to understand that.”

Of course, neither of the two impeachment attempts against President Trump ever resulted in a conviction. And now that Trump is back in the White House, you can bet Uncle Roscoe and Auntie Carol are still watching that clip of Reid melting down after her firing — when she insisted, tearfully, that “my show had value!” — and enjoying every minute of it.

But the holiday hijacking isn’t just a Thanksgiving phenomenon anymore. And it's not just the fringe media engaging in it. Now, failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton has joined the chorus — repackaging the same tired talking points for Memorial Day of all times.

In a tone-deaf post on X (formerly Twitter), Clinton encouraged her followers to “talk to two people” over the Memorial Day weekend about President Trump’s proposed budget — but conveniently disabled the comments section.

“I’m giving you a mission for this Memorial Day holiday weekend,” she wrote.
“I want you to talk to two people — friends, neighbors, cookout attendees — about why Trump’s proposed budget would be a disaster for American kids.
We owe the next generation every chance, and this isn’t it.”

Of course, Clinton wasn’t open to any discussion herself. As with a previous post — where she criticized Trump over a Qatar-linked Boeing aircraft offer — she turned off replies, only to be publicly ratioed through quote-posts, a feature she apparently forgot still exists.

The irony wasn’t lost on many: Clinton preaching the importance of “conversations” while blocking the public from actually having one. And the setting she chose? Memorial Day — the day meant to honor America’s fallen heroes — turned into yet another excuse to score partisan points and bash President Trump.

This kind of political opportunism isn’t just inappropriate — it’s offensive. Americans across the country use Memorial Day to reflect on sacrifice, unity, and love of country. But to Hillary Clinton, it’s just another chance to resurrect a failed political narrative and drag her ideological opponents over the coals.

Even nearly a decade after her loss in 2016, Clinton continues to show the American people exactly why her defeat was not just a blessing — it was a bullet dodged. And no amount of condescending “missions” or media manipulation will change that.

Unfortunately for her, she can’t disable the comments on this infamous tweet from October 26, 2016:

And who knows — if she has her way, maybe by Thanksgiving, her supporters will be told to “talk to two people” about how Hillary should be the Democratic nominee in 2028.

Because with the left, it’s always about the next desperate power grab. Even if they have to trample tradition, unity, and respect for our fallen to get there.
