Man Arrested After Attempting to Breach Mar-a-Lago—Claims He Wanted to ‘Marry’ Trump’s Granddaughter and ‘Spread the Gospel’
In a bizarre and deeply concerning security breach, a man was arrested early Tuesday morning after attempting to scale the wall at President Donald J. Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida. The suspect reportedly told authorities his goal was to "spread the gospel" to the President — and to marry Trump’s teenage granddaughter.
The Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office confirmed that 23-year-old Anthony Thomas Reyes was taken into custody by the Palm Beach Police Department after illegally entering the President’s private property.
This isn’t Reyes’ first brush with Mar-a-Lago security. According to the Palm Beach Daily News, Reyes was previously warned for trespassing on New Year’s Eve, when President Trump was also on-site. Authorities say this week’s attempt was a repeat incident, carried out with full intent.
“An adult male was arrested early Tuesday morning by the Palm Beach Police Department for unlawfully entering the Mar-a-Lago Club property in Florida. Shortly after midnight, the individual scaled a perimeter fence and triggered alarms. U.S. Secret Service personnel detained him without incident at the scene. Palm Beach Police officers responded to the scene and took the individual into custody, charging him with occupied trespassing,”

At the time of the incident, President Trump was in Washington, D.C. The suspect claimed to authorities that he was trying to access the estate to deliver a religious message and to wed Trump’s granddaughter, Kai, according to the official police report.
Reyes was initially booked on trespassing charges and released on $1,000 bail, which was later increased to $50,000. Federal charges may still be pending. His mental state and intentions are under review, but law enforcement is treating the incident seriously due to its potential implications on the President’s personal security.

Meanwhile, Democrats were dealt a brutal blow in new economic polling, as their messaging continues to collapse in the face of surging Republican support. Despite relentless attempts by Democrat operatives and mainstream media to stoke fear over President Trump’s tariff policies, voters continue to side with the GOP on the all-important issue of the economy.
“The Republican Party is closest to your economic views. In November of 2023, it was the Republicans by 11 points. Now it’s still within that range, still within that margin of error, plus eight point advantage for the Republican Party,”
— CNN data analyst Harry Enten
Enten appeared stunned by the data, acknowledging that the Democrats’ dire performance defies their entire 2024 media narrative.
“How is that possible, Democrats? How is that possible after all the recession fears, after the stock market’s been doing all of this, after all the tariffs that Americans are against, and Republicans still hold an eight point lead on the economy. Are you kidding me?”
In a follow-up analysis, Enten pointed to a Reuters/IPSOS poll, which showed Republican economic credibility rising even further.
“In May of 2024, just before Donald Trump was re-elected president, Republicans had a nine-point advantage… Now Republicans have a 12-point advantage when it comes to the party with a better economic plan.”
Enten concluded with an unmistakable warning to Democrats:
“Despite all of that, the Democrats are down by 12 points on the economy. This speaks to Democratic problems on the economy better than basically anything that you could possibly look at.”
