Minnesota Democrat Admits She’s In Country Illegally In Live Broadcast

In a shocking admission that highlights the disturbing lawlessness endorsed by today’s Democrat Party, Minnesota State Representative Kaohly Vang Her (DFL–St. Paul) declared during a legislative session that she and her family are living in the United States illegally.

The revelation came during a special session convened by Democrat Gov. Tim Walz, where lawmakers debated expanding MinnesotaCare eligibility to illegal immigrants—a policy that would directly benefit individuals like Her, who now openly admits to entering and remaining in the country under false pretenses.

“I am illegal in this country,” Rep. Her told her colleagues from the House floor on Monday, as she shared the details of how her family committed immigration fraud to gain entry into the U.S. following the Vietnam War.

Her said she only recently discovered that her father lied on federal immigration documents, falsely listing a relative as his mother in order to exploit a U.S. visa pathway available to USAID-connected families.

“What my father did was, one of our uncles worked for USAID, and because his mother had died, my father, as the one processing the paperwork, put my grandmother down as his mother,” Her admitted.
“And so, I am illegal in this country. My parents are illegal here in this country.

Despite confessing to federal immigration fraud, Her showed no remorse. Instead, she used her personal history as an emotional appeal to urge fellow lawmakers to approve taxpayer-funded healthcare benefits for illegal immigrants.

She framed opposition to the legislation as an attack on people like herself:

“When you’re thinking about voting no on this bill, you’re voting no against someone like me,” she said.

Her’s comments sparked outrage from critics who argue the revelation underscores a double standard—where the law is selectively enforced or ignored when it benefits the political left.

While federal law prohibits immigration fraud and imposes serious penalties for individuals who enter or remain in the country under false claims, Her currently serves in elected office, receives a taxpayer-funded salary, and is now advocating for state-sponsored benefits for other illegal immigrants.

Despite openly admitting to breaking U.S. immigration law, Her has not indicated any plans to step down or correct her legal status.

Attorney and former DOJ official Hans von Spakovsky said Her’s confession should prompt an immediate federal investigation:

“She admitted to immigration fraud. That’s a felony offense. And yet she is serving as a lawmaker? If we are a nation of laws, this cannot be ignored.”

Her’s revelation is the latest reminder of how deep the rot of lawlessness runs in Democrat-controlled states—where illegal entry is rewarded with political power, and law-abiding taxpayers are left to foot the bill.
