MTG Accused of Exposing Trump’s Whereabouts as White House Weighs Possible Leak

Former Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene is forcefully denying allegations that she may have helped tip off radical left-wing activists about President Donald Trump’s location during a dinner outing in Washington, D.C., a claim that has reportedly alarmed senior officials inside the White House.

Greene, a Republican from Georgia, pushed back hard against suggestions that she alerted protesters to President Trump’s presence at a downtown restaurant, calling the accusation not only false but dangerous.

“Anyone saying this is true is absolutely lying!!!” Greene wrote in a lengthy post on X, insisting the allegation is “a dangerous false accusation against me that is 100% false.”

The controversy stems from an incident on Sept. 9, when President Donald Trump — accompanied by Vice President J.D. Vance, War Secretary Pete Hegseth, and Secretary of State Marco Rubio — dined at Joe’s Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab near the White House, according to USA Today.

As the group entered the restaurant, activists affiliated with the far-left group Code Pink confronted them, shouting “Free Palestine.” The protesters’ close proximity to the President immediately raised alarms among lawmakers and observers concerned about security breaches.

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, a Republican from Florida, publicly questioned how such an incident could have occurred.

“Did someone leak the President’s location to the organization that showed up to protest him?” Luna asked in a post on X.

“How are they allowed that close to him? Where was Secret Service and was there someone in Secret Service that leaked his location? This needs to be looked into,” she added.

According to a report from Axios citing “two sources on Trump’s team,” the White House informed the Secret Service that Greene may have been responsible for the leak. Axios described the incident as a breaking point in the relationship between President Trump and Greene.

“Trump aides view the Joe’s Seafood debacle as a point of no return in his relationship with Greene,” Axios reported, noting that while President Trump appeared calm at the scene — smiling at the protesters and allowing them to vent briefly, per USA Today — aides said he was privately embarrassed and deeply concerned about his personal security.

Sources told Axios that Greene allegedly contacted White House staff earlier that day to confirm whether President Trump would be at the restaurant and that Trump himself called Greene before leaving the White House to inform her of his plans. The report also pointed to the fact that Greene, a frequent patron of the restaurant, was notably absent that evening — a detail aides reportedly found suspicious.

Greene categorically rejected the narrative and responded publicly with a blistering rebuttal.

“This is exactly what I told this little WH tool that wrote this absurd dangerous LIE about me on behalf of the WH because they are mad at me for telling the truth about the President and forcing the release of the Epstein files. Now they are making up horrific lies about me!!” Greene wrote.

She further argued that the real failure lay with security protocols, not her actions.

“Code Pink was in the restaurant because the WH and Secret Service did NOT sweep Joe’s, did NOT set up metal detectors and check everyone in the restaurant, and did not do any of their normal security protocols that they do at every public event he attends!!! Only the WH set up President Trump’s reservation at Joe’s, NOT ME!!” she said.

“I had ZERO knowledge of when his reservation was! The only people who could have tipped off Code Pink was the restaurant or the WH! And AGAIN, why didn’t Secret Service secure the restaurant BEFORE he went in????????” Greene continued.

She also emphasized that the dinner occurred during a period when her relationship with President Trump was still strong.

“This was in September when we had a great relationship, 2 months before Trump attacked me and called me a traitor!!! And even now, I would NEVER do what they are accusing me of! I would NEVER EVER do anything to endanger anyone!!!” she wrote.

Greene said she intends to consult legal counsel over the accusations.

“This is an ABSOLUTE LIE, A DANGEROUS LIE. I would NEVER do that. 1. The President’s team set his reservation. I had ZERO involvement or knowledge of his schedule and when he would go to dinner there. The only thing I did was suggest the restaurant to him and give the phone number to his team,” she said.

She again turned the spotlight on security officials.

“The story you should be writing is why didn’t secret service sweep the restaurant??? Why didn’t they set up metal detectors and check every person at the door like they do at every single public event he attends??? Why aren’t you asking the White House those questions???” Greene added.

Axios also reported that Greene’s past friendship with Code Pink co-founder Medea Benjamin has fueled suspicion inside the White House. Meanwhile, Code Pink D.C. organizer Olivia DiNucci told the Daily Beast that protesters gained access to the restaurant simply by making a reservation.

As questions continue to swirl, the episode has exposed deep fractures within Republican ranks — and raised troubling concerns about how radical activists were able to get dangerously close to the sitting President of the United States.
