Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy has some personal news to share just ahead of Election Day. He and his wife, Fox Business correspondent Hillary Vaughn, have welcomed their third child.

Their daughter, Molly Kate Doocy, was born on Oct. 22 at 10:04 p.m., weighing 8 pounds, 4 ounces. She arrived several days after her due date and joins big sister Bridget, 3, and brother George, 18 months.

"We are so grateful she is here," Doocy told PEOPLE, introducing the newly expanded "Doocy, Party of Five." He said both mother and daughter are doing well.

A Live Shot and a Sprint

Molly Kate's arrival started with some drama. Doocy, 39, was getting ready for a 9 a.m. live report from the White House when Vaughn, 37, called to tell him the baby was on the way.

The call came just one minute before Fox anchors were set to toss to him.

"I don't think I've ever talked through a script so fast," Doocy recalled.

As soon as the segment ended, he grabbed his things and ran. He joked that his sudden sprint toward the White House gate probably got the attention of the Secret Service personnel stationed nearby.

The rush paid off, and Molly Kate arrived safely later that evening. Vaughn told PEOPLE the couple's "hearts are bursting with joy," adding, "She is adored from head to toe."

Doocy, ever the political reporter, also found an election angle. "She arrived a few days after the due date — but just in time for midterm election results," he said.

Meeting the Big Siblings

Bringing the baby home changed the feel of the house right away. Doocy said it suddenly "felt ten times more full" once Molly Kate was settled into the nursery prepared for her.

Vaughn said she and her husband had been eagerly looking forward to the moment Bridget and George would finally meet their baby sister, and they had pictured a sweet, picture-perfect introduction.

The first meeting with her siblings did not go quite as planned. George started crying when he saw his new sister, which set off the newborn, and Bridget nearly joined in. Vaughn described the scene as typical toddlerhood.

Things have since calmed down. George has settled into his role as a big brother, and Bridget is already looking forward to sharing her collection of bows with her baby sister.

A Fox News Family

Doocy and Vaughn met while working at Fox and married in South Carolina in April 2021. Bridget was born in February 2023, and George arrived in April 2025, on the couple's fourth wedding anniversary.

At the time, Doocy joked that sharing the date with his son meant he would never forget to buy Vaughn an anniversary card.

The new baby also makes longtime "Fox & Friends" host Steve Doocy, Peter's father, a grandfather once again. Steve has said being a grandfather gives him the chance to give his grandchildren plenty of unconditional love, and plenty of spoiling.

With Tuesday's results on the way, the newest Doocy arrived just in time for the family's busiest night of the political calendar.
