President Trump Reaffirms Confidence in Bongino as MAGA Tensions Rise Over Epstein Fallout

Joint Base Andrews, MD — President Donald J. Trump firmly threw his support behind FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino amid swirling speculation and internal tension over the handling of the Jeffrey Epstein case, signaling that the administration remains united despite media efforts to sow discord.

Speaking to reporters during a press gaggle Sunday evening, the President confirmed that he had recently spoken to Bongino, praising his longtime ally and former Secret Service agent.

“Oh I think so. I did, I spoke to him today. Dan Bongino, very good guy. I’ve known him a long time. I’ve done his show many many times. He sounded terrific, actually. No, I think he’s in good shape,” Trump said.

Bongino, who has emerged as a central figure in the fallout surrounding Epstein case documents, is reportedly dissatisfied with the Department of Justice’s handling of sensitive materials and has clashed with top officials behind closed doors.

Sources familiar with the matter confirm Bongino confronted Attorney General Pam Bondi during a high-level meeting with Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, eventually walking out after what insiders describe as a “heated exchange.” The core of the dispute: Bondi’s claim that there is no Epstein “client list” and her declaration that no additional files will be released.

The decision sparked outrage among grassroots conservatives who remember Bondi previously pledging transparency on the issue. Influential voices in the movement, including Laura Loomer, were among the first to report the rift, which has since been confirmed by multiple outlets.

Meanwhile, the White House is pushing back against what it describes as “baseless” attempts to divide the administration.

“President Trump has assembled a highly qualified and experienced law and order team dedicated to protecting Americans, holding criminals accountable, and delivering justice to victims,” said White House spokesman Harrison Fields.

“This work is being carried out seamlessly and with unity. Any attempt to sow division within this team is baseless and distracts from the real progress being made in restoring public safety and pursuing justice for all.”

FBI Director Kash Patel also weighed in, making it clear he intends to stay the course despite rumors he might step down if Bongino resigns.

“The conspiracy theories just aren’t true, never have been. It’s an honor to serve the President of the United States Donald Trump — and I’ll continue to do so for as long as he calls on me,” Patel wrote on X.

The controversy stems from a leaked DOJ memo reaffirming the official narrative that Epstein committed suicide in 2019 and stating there is “no incriminating client list” and no evidence of blackmail. These conclusions have been met with skepticism by much of the America First movement.

Despite the backlash, President Trump has publicly backed Bondi, taking to Truth Social to describe her as “FANTASTIC” and cautioning that internal squabbles only serve the interests of the radical left.

“We’re on one Team, MAGA… selfish people are trying to hurt it, all over a guy who never dies, Jeffrey Epstein,” Trump posted. “Do not waste Time and Energy on Jeffrey Epstein, somebody nobody cares about.”

While MAGA world digests the latest developments, the President’s message remains clear: internal loyalty, law and order, and keeping the movement focused on winning — not fighting.
