Rashida Tlaib Calls To Abolish ICE After Agency Detained 11 Iranian Nationals
As threats from Iran intensify and Homeland Security is on high alert for possible terrorist activity, Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) remains fixated on dismantling the very agency working to protect Americans: Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
Despite violent anti-ICE protests erupting in Los Angeles and credible threats from Iranian operatives, Tlaib showed no sign of backing down when confronted by independent investigative journalist Nicholas Ballasy at the Capitol this week.
“Do you think the anti-ICE rhetoric from some politicians has fired up the protesters in Los Angeles?” Ballasy asked.

“So, it’s not anti-ICE, it’s pro-constitutional rights,” she claimed, painting the agency as rogue and lawless — a familiar refrain from the progressive Left that has long demonized ICE as the enemy, not the enforcers of federal immigration law.
Tlaib continued, accusing ICE agents of tailgating into neighborhoods without warrants and detaining people improperly. She even said she had “a few incidents under Biden,” which raises more questions than answers — especially considering the Biden administration’s soft-touch immigration policies that allowed a dangerous Iranian military member into the country in the first place.
When pressed point-blank on whether “Abolish ICE” goes too far, Tlaib didn’t flinch.
“Not for me,” she said, doubling down.
Her timing could not be worse.
This week, ICE agents arrested 11 Iranian nationals — including a trained sharpshooter from Iran’s elite military — right here in the United States.
One of them, Ribvar Karimi, served four years in the Iranian army and entered the U.S. on a K-1 “fiancé” visa during the Biden administration. He was caught in Locust, Alabama, carrying a military ID from the Islamic Republic of Iran Army.
According to the Department of Homeland Security, Karimi entered the country legally under the Biden administration but failed to adjust his status, a violation that made him deportable under existing law. His arrest comes amid increased threats from Iran following joint Israeli and U.S. strikes on Iranian nuclear sites.
“Under Secretary Noem, DHS has been full throttle on identifying and arresting known or suspected terrorists and violent extremists,” said DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin.
“We have been saying we are getting the worst of the worst out — and we are. We don’t wait until a military operation to execute; we proactively deliver on President Trump’s mandate to secure the homeland.”

View PlansSo while Tlaib rails against ICE, the agency is busy capturing foreign military threats inside our borders. Had her “abolish ICE” fantasy been realized, this Iranian sharpshooter would still be walking free on American soil — perhaps even planning his next move.
Tlaib’s priorities are crystal clear: defend illegal aliens, slander law enforcement, and ignore real national security threats. Fortunately, under President Trump, the Department of Homeland Security is doing what the Left refuses to: protect the American people.
