Trump Announces Major Expansion of U.S. Weapons Production During Defense Industry Meeting

President Donald J. Trump met Friday with the leaders of several of America’s largest defense companies as the joint U.S.-Israeli military campaign against Iran moved into its sixth day. Following the meeting, the president revealed that the defense industry has agreed to dramatically accelerate the production of advanced weapons systems critical to national security.

The meeting, which included top executives from some of the most prominent defense contractors in the United States, focused on scaling up production capacity and ensuring the country maintains a decisive military advantage.

“We discussed Production and Production Schedules,” Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social, Newsmax reported. “They have agreed to quadruple Production of the ‘Exquisite Class’ Weaponry in that we want to reach, as rapidly as possible, the highest levels of quantity.”

While the president did not define the phrase “exquisite class” weapons, analysts cited by Bloomberg suggest the term likely refers to highly advanced precision-guided missile systems. These weapons are often complex to manufacture but are designed to strike high-value targets with exceptional accuracy.

Among the systems believed to fall into that category are RTX’s Standard Missile 6 and Tomahawk missiles, along with Lockheed Martin’s Patriot interceptor known as the MSE.

Defense Industry Leaders Join White House Strategy Session

According to the president, the meeting included executives from BAE Systems, Boeing, Honeywell Aerospace, L3Harris Technologies, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, and RTX — companies that collectively form the backbone of America’s defense manufacturing sector.

Trump indicated that the discussion was only the beginning of an ongoing collaboration between his administration and the defense industry. The executives are expected to return for another meeting with the president in two months as production efforts continue to ramp up.

The president also emphasized that the expansion of manufacturing was already underway before Friday’s meeting.

“Plants and Production of many of these Weapons are already underway,” he said.

Earlier this year, the Pentagon reached agreements with Lockheed Martin and RTX to increase the output of several high-demand weapons platforms. Those include Patriot air defense missiles, the THAAD missile defense system, and Standard missiles — systems that play a key role in protecting U.S. forces and allies against missile threats.

Lockheed Martin later confirmed that the company had committed to expanding production capacity following the meeting.

“We have agreed to quadruple critical munitions production,” the company said in a statement reported by Bloomberg. “We are moving with urgency, and we will deliver.”

Operation Epic Fury Continues Against Iranian Regime

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt noted that the meeting had been planned before the launch of Operation Epic Fury on Feb. 28. The joint U.S.-Israeli campaign is currently targeting the Iranian regime’s political leadership and military infrastructure.

Leavitt reassured reporters that the United States possesses ample weapons reserves to sustain the operation.

“As the president has maintained, we have more than enough ammunition and weapons stockpiles to achieve the objectives of Operation Epic Fury and beyond,” Leavitt said.

According to the administration, the operation is already progressing toward its intended goals.

“We are well on our way,” Leavitt said. “I won’t get ahead of the president on broadcasting any timelines.”

However, she indicated that the campaign could continue for several more weeks.

“What I will tell you is what President Trump has already laid out, which is that the achievable objectives of Operation Epic Fury we expect it to last about four to six weeks, and we are well on our way to achieving those objectives,” she said.

The administration has outlined several objectives for the operation, including dismantling Iran’s nuclear and ballistic missile programs, destroying elements of its naval forces, weakening proxy terrorist networks across the Middle East, and empowering the Iranian people to reclaim control of their country.

“Ultimately, the president has made it very clear he wants to take out the threat of Iran to the United States, and Operation Epic Fury is well on its way to doing that,” Leavitt said.

Questions About Iran’s Future Leadership

Leavitt also suggested that the administration is carefully considering what Iran’s future leadership might look like should the current regime lose its grip on power.

“As for the future of Iran, as the president has pointed to, of course it’s in the best interest of the United States of America for Iran to no longer be led by a radical terrorist regime that chants ‘Death to America’ and is lying to the United States and the world about their secret ambitions to possess a nuclear bomb,” Leavitt said. “President Trump does not want to see that.”

She added that discussions about Iran’s political future are already taking place inside the administration.

“He wants to take an interest in pursuing who the next leader of the Iranian country is going to be, and that has yet to be seen,” she said. “And the president is discussing it and deliberating it.”
