Trump Demands Halt On Epstein Document Delays

President Donald J. Trump forcefully condemned the Justice Department’s handling of newly discovered Jeffrey Epstein materials after officials revealed that additional documents exist but may take weeks to be released to the public.

Reacting on social media Friday, the president accused Democrats of using the Epstein case as a political distraction designed to divert attention from Republican governance successes.

“Now 1,000,000 more pages on Epstein are found. DOJ is being forced to spend all of its time on this Democrat inspired Hoax,” Trump wrote. “When do they say NO MORE, and work on Election Fraud etc.”

Trump went further, arguing that the Epstein scandal is being deliberately mischaracterized to smear Republicans while shielding Democrats.

“The Dems are the ones who worked with Epstein, not the Republicans. Release all of their names, embarrass them, and get back to helping our Country! The Radical Left doesn’t want people talking about TRUMP & REPUBLICAN SUCCESS, only a long ago Jeffrey Epstein — Just another Witch Hunt!!!”

The comments follow the president’s signing of the Epstein Files Transparency Act last month, which directed the Department of Justice to disclose all Epstein-related documents in its possession. The law set a December 19 deadline for release, but DOJ officials have since acknowledged delays, citing the scope and volume of the materials.

Friday’s partial release drew criticism from lawmakers and victims’ advocates, who argued the documents were heavily redacted and failed to provide meaningful transparency. Notably, numerous references to President Trump were reportedly omitted entirely.

Earlier this week, the DOJ released approximately 30,000 additional pages related to the Epstein case after facing backlash for missing the statutory deadline. Then, last Wednesday, the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York and the FBI informed the department that “a million additional documents” had been uncovered, “potentially connected to the Jeffrey Epstein case.”

“We have lawyers working around the clock to review and make the legally required redactions to protect victims, and we will release the documents as soon as possible,” the department said in a statement.

DOJ officials cautioned that the review process could “take a few more weeks” due to the sheer volume of records involved.

“The Department will continue to fully comply with federal law and President Trump’s direction to release the files,” the agency added.

While Trump initially questioned whether releasing the documents would serve the public interest, he ultimately signed the legislation mandating disclosure. He has consistently maintained that the Epstein controversy is being weaponized politically and that Democrats — not Republicans — are at the center of Epstein’s network.

The president revisited those claims in a blunt Christmas message posted online, accusing Democrats and the corporate media of orchestrating a long-running political witch hunt.

“Merry Christmas to all, including the many Sleazebags who loved Jeffrey Epstein, gave him bundles of money, went to his Island, attended his parties, and thought he was the greatest guy on earth, only to ‘drop him like a dog’ when things got too HOT, falsely claimed they had nothing to do with him, didn’t know him, said he was a disgusting person, and then blame, of course, President Donald J. Trump, who was actually the only one who did drop Epstein, and long before it became fashionable to do so,” Trump wrote.

He continued by predicting political fallout once names are publicly revealed.

“When their names get brought out in the ongoing Radical Left Witch Hunt plus one lowlife ‘Republican,’ Massie, and it is revealed that they are Democrats all, there will be a lot of explaining to do, much like there was when it was made public that the Russia, Russia, Russia Hoax was a fictitious story, a total Scam, and had nothing to do with ‘TRUMP.’”

Trump also took aim at legacy media outlets, particularly The New York Times, accusing them of repeated false reporting and reputational harm.

“The Failing New York Times, among many others, was forced to apologize for their bad and faulty Election ‘Reporting,’ even to the point of losing many subscribers due to their highly inaccurate FAKE coverage,” Trump wrote.

“Now the same losers are at it again, only this time so many of their friends, mostly innocent, will be badly hurt and reputationally tarnished,” he added.

“But sadly, that’s the way it is in the World of Corrupt Democrat Politics,” Trump concluded. “Enjoy what may be your last Merry Christmas! President Donald J. Trump.”
