Trump Drops Arrest Nuke On Gavin Newsom!

President Donald J. Trump issued a scathing rebuke of California Governor Gavin Newsom on Monday, saying he’d support White House Border Czar Tom Homan in arresting the embattled Democrat amid growing chaos surrounding anti-ICE riots in Los Angeles.

While speaking to reporters outside the White House, Trump addressed the surge of left-wing protesters who have been targeting Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents with threats, harassment, and violence.

Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy asked the President, “Gavin Newsom is — he’s daring Tom Homan to come and arrest him. Should he do it?”

Trump didn’t hesitate.

“I would do it if I were Tom. I think it’s great. Gavin likes the publicity. I like Gavin Newsom. He is a nice guy, but he’s grossly incompetent. Everybody knows [that]. All you have to do is look at the little railroad he is building. It’s about 100 times over budget,” Trump said.
“The people that are causing the problem are professional agitators. They’re insurrectionists. They’re bad people. They should be in jail,” he added.

The comments came just hours after President Trump authorized the deployment of at least 2,000 National Guard troops to Los Angeles following violent, anti-ICE demonstrations. Protesters were seen spitting on law enforcement officers, vandalizing ICE vehicles, and setting fires throughout downtown Los Angeles.

While speaking alongside Secretary of State Marco Rubio in New Jersey before departing aboard Air Force One, Trump vowed accountability for those attacking federal agents.

In an assertive move, Trump said he’s now considering invoking the Insurrection Act, a rarely used but fully constitutional measure to restore law and order where local officials have failed.

His actions came in stark contrast to the inaction of California’s Democratic leaders — Governor Gavin Newsom and Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass — who refused to intervene even as federal agents were assaulted.

The riots were reportedly sparked by new ICE operations targeting employers hiring illegal aliens — a move consistent with Trump’s firm stance on immigration enforcement.

According to a recent intelligence report, one of the main organizations behind Sunday’s violence in Los Angeles has ties to radical left-wing activist groups. ICE agents were reportedly harassed, vehicles torched, and downtown businesses looted.

Among those rushing to defend the mayhem was former Vice President Kamala Harris, who once again aligned herself against border enforcement and national security.

“Los Angeles is my home. And like so many Americans, I am appalled at what we are witnessing on the streets of our city,” Harris said. “Deploying the National Guard is a dangerous escalation meant to provoke chaos."
“In addition to the recent ICE raids in Southern California and across our nation, it is part of the Trump Administration’s cruel, calculated agenda to spread panic and division,” she continued, falsely claiming the protests were “mostly peaceful” despite documented violence, arson, and attacks on law enforcement.

In response, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth placed 500 U.S. Marines on standby at Camp Pendleton, ready to support National Guard efforts if the violence escalates.

As of Monday, additional demonstrations are expected across California, with federal authorities warning of further unrest throughout the week.
